Battery was disconnected for about 5 hours it did start at 0 and then it started going negative, the engine light disappeared but the code is still there Its also started running a bit lean AFR goes up to 15.1 sometimes and idles between 14.7-14.85. not sure what you mean by the maf but I didn't touch it I just took the pipe off and put it to the side when working on it with the sensor connected. I also read somewhere that leaky injectors could be my problem but not sure. What do you mean by oring the sensor?

There's an oring on the maf sensor that seals it to the housing right at the base on the circular part if that's cracked or pinched it'll suck in air there and cause Afr issues. Yes leaking injectors our even just clogged can certainly cause lean issues

ok is there a way I can test the injectors or would it be better if I just replaced them, also would you be able to recommend a brand or would OEM ones from NAPA be fine

only use oem mazda ones (bosch) do not go with oem replacements from napa. Where about in Canada are you? there are places that do injector testing and servicing. They'll clean them, replace filter baskets and flow test them then you can put in fresh seals and not have leaks assuming proper install. I think overspeed motorsports may officer a core service they're also the seals I'd get. graveyard performance has started offering core services as well. I got mine done locally in Manitoba and had a 24hr turn around I know of another place that did same day for my buddy
