I am wanting to put a roof rack system on my Gen1 MS3 from 2009. Apparently the fixed points are under the existing factory roof moldings. I do not want to pay the $75/per side from the dealer for the moldings with the fixed point removable tabs, but I am having trouble finding this part on my own online somewhere. All the ones I find are the single solid molding pieces with no tabs or holes. Im sure I could drill a hole for the points, but was wondering if anyone knows where to find this part online? thanks!

I thought drilling was the only option or genjuans. Thankfully, the genpus have little tabs on the roof rail that when removed expose the fixed points.

The 2010-2013 speed3’s are called genpu’s. They have roof rails with removable tabs. Not sure if they would fit a 2009. The parts are available thru the website above.

The rail cover itself is not on that website just the caps and pad. I would just drill the ones you have. The footpads on the rack will cover the hole you make

If you really want roof rails with removable caps you might want to check out Tasca auto parts. Looks like they have roof rails with and without a carrier, which I’m assuming is for a roof rack. Tbh, you might want to just pay what the local dealer is offering. Shipping would be a mother on some roof rails.
