Thinking of buying a car from a guy that's got a Cobb Accessport. Due to his tuning the CEL is on because the car's running too rich, though he's upgraded the intake and exhaust to accomodate the higher air flow. He's cleared the codes but they return after a couple days. Asking how/if this can be properly fixed

CAI and a cat-back exhaust. Told me what size they were in a phone call and can't remember now. Has a blow-off-valve as well.

If he's doing a OTS map, load a, stage 0 and post logs. Pretty much stock map.

Are both cats still there? CAI is stock MAF diameter? Make sure the bov isn't leaking, tighten preload on it if it's adjustable. Hell, do a boost pressure test on the whole system before you start chasing more difficult possibilities; might be dumping air out of a loose or torn coupler or something.

If you are rich at idle or in vacuum then I would look into a leak on the exhaust side prior to the o2 sensor. Blown out gasket from a shitty flange on a cheap DP maybe? Seen that more than I can count.

Rich while going fast... listen to SharksSpace for sure!

Edit: you know, I am a little foggy. What I described would be a lean at idle situation. My bad
