It depends on the spool of the BT too. S3's spool very quick; quite close to the K04. Another local had a 2876r that didn't seem to spool as quick. Another guy had an HTA3076r, and man, it spooled very fast in light of how much it flows.

Now if people are brake-boosting, all of this goes out the window, LOL.

Still needs some tuning work but shes getting there.

This is a recent map vs my ko4 and same temps and time of year.

20psi by ~3,700. That's pretty respectable, given its top-end. My BNR S3 can be at 20psi by 3,250 or so, assuming I WOT at 3,000, but it won't flow nearly as much up top. Actually, if I was built and could WOT safely lower, I'll bet I'd hit 20psi even lower than 3,250. Doing stuff like altering VVT tables, having freer flowing exhaust, intake, and intercooler can all bring that 3,700 down too. Looks like you already have most of that anyways.

Nice to see your BNRs4 Built coming along. Those are some good looking numbers. I have the S3 and waiting to finish my tune with Rob as well. Cant wait to see the final results.

Technically it's more about boost threshold than spool, but if you're only logging 33 WGDC @ 3k, I'm sure you could make more boost there. Having said this, Rob knows his stuff. I'm definitely not second-guessing him. You're in good hands.

And it only makes sense that an S3 with have a lower boost threshold and faster spool than an S4 - it is a smaller turbo with a CHRA that has less mass/inertia. On the flipside, it only makes sense that an S4 will have more top-end and ultimate power potential.

Yeah for sure. I bet rob is just trying to keep low end tq down. I am sure on the final map this thing will rip start to finish.

I'm built with a GT3071 and spraying 100% meth with a D14 nozzle, Freektuned. I miss the insta spool of the K04 on the Dragon where top end is not needed. The GT3071 does have lag but I'm still hitting 24lbs at 3700 rpm and 28lbs at 4700 rpm with peak power around 6k then dipping slightly before flat lining to red line. The car is scary sometimes when boost comes in hard and the car gets squirrely at speed. I may go S5 if my 3071 where to play out.

So 3lbs more then the s4 at 3700. I say the s4 is doing well then. Also ur on a built motor so you can afford to spool faster and not worry about tq as much other then for traction. What i posted was in no way a final map either. I was just happy to see big power so i posted it to keep this thread alive!!!

The boost throttle tables come into play to keep me from spooling too quick.

I bet on a built motor it would work similar to ur gt3071.

S5? Typo, or news I haven't heard yet???
It'd be cool if Bryan threw a GTX wheel in an S4 as an option. I'll bet you could pick up 5 lbs/min easily, which ricer math says should amount to ~50whp higher potential.

Sweet. Any links? I wonder what the base is, maybe a GT35-series?
