I’ve been having an issue with the car burning a lot of oil. Blue smoke or grey smoke clouds when I hit the gas after being stationary for as little as 30 seconds.

I have done a compression test (180psi all 4), leak down test (20% all 4), new to me used k04 turbo 80k miles didn’t smoke when pulled, new PCV, new oil, coolant flushed.

I guess my question here is, where do I go after this? Maybe the oil rings and holes are stuck/clogged?

167k miles gen 1. PO states the head is also new. Timing chain at TDC is good.

"didn't smoke when pulled" classic. Have you check boost tubes/ intake for oil? anything exhaust side of turbo? Hoping it's not actually smoking just things to check. First thought was PCV but you put in a new one already

Thing is, it actually didn’t smoke I know who I bought from. No signs of the turbo being bad after replaced. No oil in IC piping or intake. Thought was hot side seals were bad so that’s why I replaced. Oil gets dirty pretty fast (same day) which leads me to believe there’s sludge holding rings and clogging the holes.

What oil are you running? I had this issue with some lighter oil that might have been mislabeled.

Might be a busted ringland then. At idle/parked, with the hood up, pull the hose going from your valve cover to the intake and keep your thumb over it so the engine doesn't die immediately. Is there smoke coming out of the VC breather? Is it pulling good vacuum (check with your thumb or something)?

    I will check mid afternoon.
that hose was removed and a filter was added on the VC. Wouldn’t a cracked ringland show signs on a compression test or leak down?

You'd like to think so. Also you want no filter on the VC port, because the whole point is to see if smoke comes out or if it's getting good vacuum pulled on it (which you can't check by eyesight)

No smoke and good vacuum. And yes I know i was just letting you know that hose no longer exists on the car.
