I have a weird situation, 2011 w/ tech stock audio system.

The other day I get in my car at push the button to start the car and I get this high pitch squeal and static at full volume out of my speakers, car running or just on acc it doesn't matter, turning the radio off does nothing to stop it, I had to pull the amp fues.

I turn the car off, put the fues back in and try again and it's back to normal, so I go about my business and the radio is working fine, stop to get gas and turn the car back on and it does the same thing requiring the Bose fues to be pulled again wtf!

Any ideas? Can the factory headunit run the factory speakers without the amp? Any input greatly appreciated.

    Thanks everyone

You likely have a pinched wire somewhere. Is it all the speakers or just one corner? If it's one corner, trace that wire and see if it's damaged.

Speakers will not work properly without the amp.

It's all the speakers even the sub, the sound is almost like the welcome tone you get when the car sees the key except it's very staticky.

Another thought would be the body control module? About a year ago I somehow shorted the rear dome light changing the bulb, I lost the welcome sound and the dome lights working with the doors, all doors, it never blew a fuse or had any other issues sense and like I said that was well over a year ago. Trying to find a why to diagnose the problem without having to buy an amp or body module and that not be the problem

Just an update, it was the amp taking a dump. Went with a kicker 4c amp and all is well.
