My Gen1 is stock with "Mazdaspeed" (aem) CAI. I'm installing my AP, but the Stage 1+ OTS maps on there state they're for SRI w/ tip. Anyone know if that'd be safe with the CAI? Or should I use the stage 1 for stock intake since it doesn't require tune for just intake? Or would that cause lean scenario with the AP that doesn't happen with stock tune? I searched around but couldn't find anything matching this scenario. Any help is appreciated!

Cobb maps are sketchy trash. Many tuners offer OTS maps that won't blow you up.

You would likely be fine, but you would need to monitor readings as soon as you install it if you want to guarantee it.

If you aren't calibrating your MAF sensor values for your intake, that would be the bigger issue here.

Stage 1 intake cai or Sri would be the same MAF size is probably similar... As raider has said Cobb maps are trash you're better off going to someone like freektune and buying an ots map from him, you'll get more out of it and driveability will be better.
That being said when adding air to this platform you should really add fuel as well by doing the hpfp internals, yes just doing the intake should have those upgrade especially if you're tuning.

If you need to then save up a bit and get a Custom Freektune, as you will be leaving a fair amount of power on the table with a OTS tune.
