Had this for a week now, figured I`d share my observations:

    (1) the fit is fantastic, as is the finish. (mind you I bought it used as well).

    (2) install took like ten minutes. No unnecessary wiggling or fudging to get it in place.

    (3) functionality (this is the one you`re all waiting for): No, it doesn`t lower WOT BATs. I never expected it to. What it does do, however, is to help bring down BATs more quickly after the car has been sitting, getting hot. That difference is blatant. I can`t really speak to cruising BATs because it`s not hot yet to tax the idea, but so far it **SEEMS** to be about 2-3 degrees cooler. That`s nothing significant. We`ll see what happens when it gets into the upper 90`s here soon enough.

Was it worth it? Well, despite my anti-fondness for the brand it`s on my car and I love it. Is it in any way a performance item? No, not at all. It`s a visual mod with positive benefits. Worth it? For what I paid, sure. Probably would not pay full price for a new one, but if CS did lower the price I`d probably eat some crow and buy one from them if I were to do it again.

I bought a blemished one and I am currently in the process of having it color matched to the body. I observed the same with the cruising BATs vs how fast they drop when starting to move again after installing it.

One thing I will note is that I had water inside of mine when I took it off to have it painted. There are a couple of holes on the side closest to the driver which apparently were letting some water in. Not a huge deal since it's a plastic shell but it surprised me since I didn't think about it. I drilled a couple more holes on the lower side to drain. I'll probably fill all of them with RTV when it comes back.

@VoodooJef; if you plan on staying with the carbon fiber look you may want to get the scoop UV clear coated. After a few months mine has started to fade. Kinda sucks since my cf mirror caps from china still look good as new and I installed the caps and the scoop at the same time.

I`ve heard that from a few people. Still undecided if I`ll keep it CF or not, but it`s not like it`d cost much either way.

I've had mine for about a year now. When I had the car repainted I decided to keep the scoop the way it came. I like the look a lot, and the size is much larger than stock. I am very satisfied; and I happen to like CS and their parts....just saying...

    Hey, welcome aboard PadreDave :)

you`ll find varying opinions of pretty well any brand, some are consistently good, some are consistently scorned. Usually a good reason for both.

As far as the scoop, I`ve seen one other brand that made a similar product but it just didn`t look right. The CS scoop is one of the things they really got right.

This is one of those purchases that I have been contemplating for awhile now. Its hard to find one used that is in good quality and those that do go for sale get snatched up fast.

I love the look of them and the bonus of slightly better BAT's is nice. I'm just paranoid on waiting too long because they might stop making them like they did with the Hood Struts or the Aluminum skidplate.
