    This is tough for me to post and deal with. My daughter Kadience just turned 4 Dec 3rd. The Sunday before she had a court ordered supervised (by maternal grandmother) visit. When she came home from the visit she disclosed to my wife and I that her mother choked her, moms boyfriend was alone in bathroom with her and that they all played naked on the bed together. Monday after her visit we noticed bruising around her neck and cheek and took her to Children's hospital of Pittsburgh for and evaluation after my wife made a childline report for abuse. Yesterday we returned to children's hospital to get a more extensive evaluation with a child protective services advocate with us. Its been determined by the doctors the bruising is from abuse and not childhood play. They also x-rayed her collar bone again because at her size it's hard to see fractures and easy to see healing and there was healing being seen in the x-ray leading doctors to believe her collar bone was fractured as there was bruising in the area. A protection from abuse order has been granted temporarily until court Jan 24. The county police are doing a criminal investigation now. I have been fighting for the safety and well being of my daughter for over a year now and it's drained me both emotionally and financially.

    When my daughters mom and I were together she would toss her in my arms when I got home from work 3-4 days a week saying I got to go out now she does. She would come home between 4-730 completely hammered and high on cocaine. Her mom would then pass out leaving our daughter lo ked in her bedroom sometimes until I got home from work. Right before I changed the locks and threw her out she told our daughter on two separate occasions that she was going to dinner and would be home soon. Our daughter would throw a fit screaming and banging on the door for her mother for a good bit. She came home two weeks later after being stuck in Alabama (we live in PA) with no way home because the meth head she left with refused to bring her home twice. Since then I have been fighting with my lawyer to keep Kadience safe. Pushed hard for the court to grand supervised visits at a visitation center which I kept being told that maternal grandmother is a good enough supervisor. I'm struggling mentally to let the courts handle this instead of what most dads would like to do. I hate asking for help but my daughter needs as much help as she can get. She's fearful of going to the bathroom. Fearful to go outside thinking her mom's gonna come and take her. She's become defiant and physically aggressive which we notice happens for a week to a month after a visit with her mom. If you can share this I would appreciate it more than I could ever put into words. https://www.gofundme.com/f/legalcos...heet&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=customer

    Jeez dude that's a rough situation. Is it possible you can strip the mother of visitation all together? My friend went through something of a similar issue years ago.

    His baby momma had custody of their son. He paid her support payments regularly without any missed payments. In the state of VA you get something like a debit card the money is loaded onto. Well the son wasn't being physically abused but he was being neglected. She was taking the money, cashing it out at ATMs and then buying drugs with it. No money ever went to feeding their son, toys, or clothes. Often times she left the kid alone or with random people.

    He caught wind of what she was doing and took her back to court. The court told her to provide receipts and records for what the payments went towards. She was unable to do that. The court also made her get drug tested for the claims of that as well. She failed it for numerous drugs. With all that information on hand now the court then granted my friend full custody of their kid and she was required to pay back in full the amount she had received. She still had supervised visitation, but had to complete rehab/pay back the funds before the court would consider unsupervised visitation again.

    This was about 16-17 years ago it all went down. She basically left and never tried to contact her son or be a part of his life after that court date. Now his son is getting ready to graduate high school early, top of his class. She missed out on all of that

    I hope you can get to a point of full custody and not have her get visitation. Every parent deserves to be a part of their child's life if they will be responsible and put their child above all else.

    I wish you luck and that the best happens for your daughter. At least she isn't too old now that she will remember this stuff when she is an adult. Hopefully the mother will get her crap together and get off the drugs and stop being abusive.

    I feel for you and your situation man and I will be praying for it to be resolved quickly and you to have full custody. It is only fair to ask for a extensive drug screening for her and sounds like she would fail, at which time they would grant you full custody most likely. Hang in there man you're not alone in this!

    Without overstepping too much, not sure if anyone knows anyone that's hiring in that neck of the woods but an employer that understands that employees are human beings rather than commodities may help as well.

    It's directly his manager. If he could afford more attorneys I'm sure he would sue.

    @chad
    Just west of Pittsburgh PA. Little town called ruffs dale. Worked as a laborer for a plumbing company in high school as well as a stock boy for foodland and warehouse and forklift at busy beaver. Been a mail carrier since November 7th 2006. Currently not allowed at work because of my manager. $26hr to $0 is stressful.
