    Not sure why you think I'm annoyed; I just think that what I said is already at the most basic level I can make it. If anyone else can chime in, they are more than welcome to do so.

    I should have just opened up my service manual rather than posting my dumb ass question here. My mistake and I humbly apologize.

    No I completely understand now. I hate to admit it but I connected the cables wrong at the trans when I re-installed the engine. I was in a hurry to get it done. Probably why my cable snapped. But with 220K miles on the car it was probably going to happen soon anyways. What a dumb mistake.

    Yeah unfortunately Midwest Control is no longer a viable option for most. This thread isn't really as useful as it used to be. There's the Facebook option, which looks really good, but they are expensive. It may be possible to source cables from somewhere else, but I imagine that a new bracket would need to be designed.

    Got it all put back together lastnight. My cables must have been really stretched as its much more precise and positive now.

    Reviving this old thread because I am trying to see what options I have, with lead time not being an issue. I considered going to a Facebook vendor but with the premium cost, plus the exchange for CDN to USD, I get effed in the "eh" costing $800+ dollary-doos.

    I was going to reach out to mid west control and cable craft. I'm sending requests for two custom length cables @ 57" long with female quick disconnect ball joints at each end.

    I will likely get a local shop to fabricate the bracket. Does anyone have any tips or want to join for a group buy?

    Hey,
    so, 3 or 6 or both?
    the bracket gets made after the cable itself is chosen, yea ?

    I am also in a no rush need for 6 cables {200K+}
    the 3, 60K but still, its all apart, why not.

    Should this get to that point, having the bracket {s} as a CAD file, sent to sendcutsend as a 10 pc deal,,,, more gooder

    I'd potentially be down for this too; I'd really like some kind of option for shimming the ball or another full replacement akin to TWM but without the total suck.

    Midwest is still a 6 month lead, as previously posted. I am going to go with 57" as Trithemius suggested for their quote. So am I getting a quote for 6 total? (2 each per car) Does the CAD file exist for the bracket already?

    @Enki what side do you want the shims on?

    Cable Craft sent me to one of their distributers to get help, so I am waiting on them to respond.

    No idea, but I've heard some people make them out of soda cans. (I am talking about fixing shifter ball/socket slop, btw).
