The fans don't kick on until around 217°, so seeing 214 after a hard drive and then parked idle isn't really indicative of an issue there. Could still try burping the coolant if you want to be sure.

Ok, well today I was on a short drive and at some point the check light started flashing and so I connected by ODB scanner and it said P0204...and it was running very poorly. Hopefully I just irritated the wiring, I really don’t want to take off the fuel rail and take out an injector again.

    Just as an update...

After replacing the intake manifold and the PCV valve the car is starting reliably now without stalling. The power was more or less back as well. I replaced the fuel injector and I’m not getting that error anymore (although I can’t really drive the car right now to fully test because of the another issue on another thread).
