@Maisonvi can hook you up with a lightweight knob.

This map had lowered timing and suffered for it:
    3rd.jpg

went back to what I'm reasonably sure I had it set to (didn't keep the log like a dumbass) and made some adjustments to the MAFCAL, WGDC, load targets and comps, a touch of fueling adjustment lower in the RPM band to assist with spool, and some additional timing tweaks.

VVT still peaks at 15 degrees and seems to be working OK, but I should really ask Wiseco about the reliefs on the pistons.

Next drive should be a good one.

    FML.

Special thanks to @udntknw for testing the pump where I fill up at today and showing me it's probably the same E88 that it's always been.
I'll likely back it down to 50/50 on the next fillup and get more fueling headroom and start throwing more boost at this fucker; maybe change out for a 15 PSI spring while I'm at it.

    Very minor update.

The end result of the new fuel tank access plate:

    Annndddd....MPJesus:
(This quarter tank still have a 16th left to go)

    (Since last fillup)

Looking at around 250/tank on e88 with no lean burn or anything.

So minor update, hit 17.5 PSI peak today but my load comps were far too aggressive so I've had to back them down a bit. I'm no where near my load targets, so I've adjusted things more and filled out the WGDC curve a bit better compared to how it was.

    3rd pull.jpg

Basically more of the same, but with a bit more low down torque.

I'm also running a mathematically generated and smoothed MAFCAL, which, surprisingly, worked out *super* good.
How good you ask? Well here's a hot idle log:
    hot idle.PNG

And here's a highway cruise log:
    Highway cruise.PNG

While I don't have a log of the first pull I did, the lowest AFR got on that pull was 11 flat, which is about 4.5% rich.
All I did to generate this curve was to take the stock MAFCAL, increase it by the % of area increase from the 3.5" intake, then add 10% because it looked a bit low. Then I tossed it through a curve smoother (which I probably stole from RFinkle2) and massaged the .9v/2.0 g/s area to avoid the CEL that comes with not doing that.

On this next map, I have OL fueling correction disabled, so I'll be able to see where it actually is sitting at and if I should adjust it or not.

Once I get this tank down to half, I'll top off with 91 and see what kind of fueling headroom I have available as to whether or not I'm going to need to immediately install the 15 psi spring that @VashEXE gave me today. As a quick side note, he says my car sounds weird at 8k.

Log taken slightly uphill; might actually be right at 200 to the wheels now.
BATs start in the mid 120s and end up right around 160 so those ducts can't come fast enough; I know it's costing me power/flow. Also, not having the under tray (at least the front part that seals up the front part for the radiator) is hurting ECTs as well.

    Overall, looking a bit better:
    3rd.jpg

    Log Notes:
    1. Need to add about 6% fuel above 3.2v and re-smooth it (triple point comparison like always).
    2. Need to aggressively dump timing below 3500 at higher throttles because it's costing me spool and torque.
    3. Hitting 80% IDCs at 5800 so really, really need to open up some fueling headroom here too; next trip out, I'll be swapping to 50/50 and watching for knock (none currently even with 214 ECTs and 160 BATs)
    4. Peak HP @ 6k is with 9 degrees timing. I can probably add more but I don't want to do that until I max out this WGA after the E mix swap.

After all that is done, I'll probably run it like that for a while as the next steps are rather expensive and I have a fair bit of debt to pay off.

    Revised the to-do list:

Full wash and detail - Primary wash done so it's mostly clean, but full detail coming from a buddy of mine in trade for a watercooled GFX card.
    New windshield wipers - Done
Delrin shift knob - Arrives tomorrow (thanks @Maisonvi !)
Shit for trans fluid and oil change - Arrives Wed
My left arm is sunburned as fuck so got one of them sleeve things showing up wed. I'd like to avoid skin cancer if at all possible. lol
    AC filled - Next week
    Sways greased - Next week
    Headlights adjusted - Next week
Smog check for lols? - Next week
TMIC duct nut, flanged - En Route
Reinstall TMIC duct scoops - En Route
    Headlight braces - En Route
Coolant fittings for turbo (need to reroute before it cooks) (@VashEXE )
Custom TMIC or chemcooling? (Decision then implementation)
ST intake mani with custom config? (Decision then implementation)
    Meth parts
    6th port
New 360 dash camera and seat mount?
    New tablet for central mounting?

Also need some kind of heat resistant padding or something to keep the CS catback from banging the frame under certain conditions. Pretty annoying.

Oh and won my first "race" today. Pulled up to a light that I knew was going to turn very soon so hopped a lane over that was unoccupied in the hopes that I wouldn't have to stop (no AC still) and homeboy in his minivan fuckin sent it right as the light turned green (basically just as I stopped). He was quite upset that I gave him all 8k so he returned the favor with ye old middle finger when I turned at the next light.

@Maisonvi The only issue I had with the shift knob is that you can't use the knob to tighten the extension; I had to wrench the extension for fear of causing the knob to crack/split. It's something I shoulda thought of originally though, so no fault on you for that. I'm also not sure how deep the hole is so I'm considering getting some kind of allen head plug to insert into it to give me a more definite stop so I don't fuck this thing up.

Otherwise, it's perfect. Feels good in the hand, and takes the right amount of effort to shift now without feeling sloppy; can't just poke it into gear anymore (a good thing).

    Everyone else:

    19.6 PSI peak @ 3935 RPM
    3.94 MAFv @ 7951 RPM
    60-100 in 8.112 seconds (lol)
Current rev limit: 8100 (8115 in log)

    3rd 5050.jpg

    @aaronc7 Pay up sukka
    1.jpg

    Notes:
BATs def suck and are hindering for sure.

VVT doesn't feel good the way it is now, especially after a shift. Gonna remove it for next map and maybe do more tweaking to ignition timing.

Still not hitting load targets by 0.2 load, not real sure why. The lowest load numbers I'm using are per gear and those are higher than what's logged.

Not sure if I should leave it here load wise (up top) and start running timing or risk E30 for yet more minuscule headroom; still out of fuel at 8k, but about 10% left at 7k (which I will try to squeak out).

Red line = first pull; TMIC not fully heat soaked yet, short run because car behind me
Blue line = full pull; BATs ending near 170, still pulling a ton of timing up top because of temps. Not much I can do about that till tomorrow.

Still not hitting my load targets (0.2 load low) so gonna have to ask @mituc or another pro tuner what's going on with that.

Pulling back into the driveway, small dripwise pool of trans fluid. Gonna have to check that out later.

Yeah going on your shifter and not the stock one was somewhat of a guessing game. I have had people just put a small something under it to "adjust" height. a small piece of dowel to the length they want or something like that. Doesent really matter what, just something to space the threads at the distance you want. I can also try and get a set screw for it, but M10x1.25 is kinda an odd size.

Drivers side axle seal seems to be toast; will be replacing it on Saturday after the new seal arrives.

Redid timing from scratch after realizing that the issues with transient I was feeling pertained to how deep I was going in timing for the WOT pulls; this timing scaling issue is mostly compounded by the load targeting issues I've been seeing (seems like the high BAT flag is always on for some reason) so lower loads = deeper timing changes = shitty driving experience.

On the plus side, each log lets me understand what the engine wants a little bit better; this latest from scratch timing map has some guts below 2500 (not much but getting there; can cruise in 6th now at least on flat roads) and VVT is reenabled (still only at 15 deg for now, pending email with Wiseco).

Part throttle is significantly smoother and with a couple pounds of boost doesn't lug anymore. Probably no more wot pulls until the seal is replaced. :(

    Update time!

Did a WGDC map; much better.
    3rd.jpg

The road had a hump in it, hence the wave; need to further adjust wgdc and timing down low, but overall feels much faster.
6.55 60-100, which is now half of what it was on the first pull I did.

    Progress.

3rd. 4th would be an eternity.
Edit: Because I spin this thing to 8 I get to cheat on 60-100 pulls. Lol
