Looks beautiful. If it's anything like my BNR S3, I'm sure you'll love it.

Point of clarification on my previous comment. To test wastegate spring pressure, you have to zero out the WGDC table, here:

And you also have to zero out the Ramp Limiter - High Limit tables, so that your car doesn't notice it's not making commanded boost and tries to add more WGDC to compensate. There are two of these tables:

My tables aren't zeroed out b/c I'm running my normal map, so don't let the fact that all of these cells aren't zeroes confuse you. For your goal, they should be zeros.

You're in good hands. Pretty sure he'll set up your base map to see what your WG spring pressure is. That's usually one of the very first steps.

Spool down low in the powerband. The car never sees 500rpms, even at idle, but by 2.5k, it helps get things cookin' when I start getting into it. Lotsa folks run 50 down there too. It's sort-of an arbitrary number since it's below the boost threshold anyways, for the most part.

Got ya. So even if u floor it at 2k. Ur saying u wont see 100 wgdc bc the turbo wont spool fast enough to get there but it will help the spooling in general by having it start working on spool b4 u even fully push the pedal down.

There's a difference between commanded and actual WGDC. If you're not hitting boost targets, the EBCS will add more WGDC until you do. One of the tables sets how much greater percentage your ECU will allow the EBCS to add, so if you're still not hitting boost target, then the tune would need adjusted. For instance, if I commanded 50 WGDC @ 3k and set the tune to allow up to 20% more to hit boost target if I'm underboosting, the EBCS will allow the WGDC to go up to 60 @ 3k to try to hit it. If it still can't, it won't go any higher because of how the tune is setup. You'd have to allow a greater % to be added, or set your base commanded WGDC higher than 50.

Now a lot of this depends on if you're boost-based, hybrid, or load tuned too. So my limited example is just one aspect. But yeah, basically the WG flapper is going to be held shut, which keeps all the exhaust going through the turbine and therefore readily available to build boost when you WOT.

On my old K04 maps, I'd only command like 65 down there. Honestly, you don't need a lot on K04. It's insta-spool anyways. And a lot of guys just default to 100 WGDC down low. More than one way to skin a cat. Rob knows his stuff. Much of what I learned to self-tune was from him. So just go with your tuner's flow. He'll know exactly what to do.
