All the OGs have dicks on their cars. Just a fact of life when you've been around awhile. One way or another you're bound to get dicked. Also when you find out they were cut in the machine into 100 sections after the 8th one you just leave them.

If I had a tiny penis on my car, I'd be proud of it.

@Pat@DirtyWaterRacing will you have to beef up the gen2 trans with the power you’re putting down or is it good as is? I don’t know shit about drag racing but follow the drag battle of FB.

No, it will stay the way it is. With motec as an option now we should be able to save the trans. Ability to use a strain gauge now will be a huge factor in longevity and better shift engagement. The dogbox is a thing now but that's another 6k to spare un-assembled as well.

It was either motec or dog gears this season (if I get out there) and I've chosen motec.

I was at 650+ and the trans (gen 1) held up and is/was fine. We tore it down this winter and even the OE original shift pads were in decent condition.

Other cars I know of at well over 650 where it's gets stressful.

Don't forget that Greek guy was putting down 1000 hp through a Homebrew awd 3 before he started blowing transmissions

Did you mean 650WHP+ or 650WTQ+ ? That's great to know about the pad condition that means a majority of trans engagement fails is due to being a poop driver

I was at over 550+ WTQ and I know a few well over 600tq. But like I said the trans already had 90k miles on it and still came out prestine.
