I wish I would have found it sooner but R1 concepts has a 14% off sale that ends today 8/1/2016 and they also have the EBC kits on special and the sales are combinable so you can get a set of front and rear with either yellows or reds for around 550 shipped.

My confusion comes from deciding if I want to go with the stage 5 kit that comes with the yellows or the stage 4 kit that comes with reds. I have red mixed reviews about both yellow and reds. Some people say reds are the way to go for a DD but that yellows are a damn good pad as well. They are also rated to grip more once heated up. I do enjoy my spirited back road driving so the more grip the better but I don't want to sacrifice performance of every day driving just to run pads that grip a little harder.

Any opinions would be appreciated I will be pulling the trigger sometime late afternoon.

(currently leaning towards reds with slotted rotors but can be convinced to get the yellows with drilled and slotted)

Red's in my experience were awful. Absolutely no pedal feel or stopping power unless you stood on the pedal. I tried so hard to like them but I couldn't do it. Yellow's are hands down the best pads I've ever tried. They have monster stopping power and great pedal feel especially when warm. I've been threw 2 sets of pads already they're perfect for a DD.

Also the prices R1 is charging is kinda steep for pads and rotors. Rock Auto sells StopTech slotted or drilled rotors (they are made from Centric high carbon blanks) for $84-$94 a piece and amazon sells yellows for $105 shipped. You can put their whole kit together with better rotors for $320ish shipped. You can then take the difference and buy some stainless steel brake lines ($50 on Rock Auto) and racing brake fluid (Around $20) and still pay less than what R1 is charging. Some food for thought.

yeah, @rusty is on point with his suggestions. And yellows are the pad to get for sure. I loved mine.

And you dont need drilled or slotted rotors unless you like the rice. You can get centric blanks for cheap and those will handle anything you can throw at it on the street. Will save you some money too.

So in summary: EBC yellow, Centric Blanks, Stainless Lines. Do that.

I would also add that it might be worth checking the MSO Vendors to seeing they can match the random company. Mainly because not as many companies are supporting our platform, always good to support those who do

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I will most likely be going with the yellows and already had planed to get SS lines and ate 200 dot4 for that improved peddle feel. Now I just need to decide on rotors. Hmmm add some rice with drilled and slotted but sacrifice a little performance, just slotted for minimal rice and better performance or just blanks for that sleeper look...

I will defiantly be giving the vendors a shout out to see if they can get me close in price first before outsourcing.
