Sorry for the delay in the posting of this article. I had some issues that needed to be resolved this weekend.

So I along with a few others were chosen to test the new FJ Performance solid (yes i said solid, so not for those of the faint of heart about vibes) rmm. My speed is the long term tester for the stock side mounts.

Getting a bright and shiny, well brown, box dropped off by usps or fed ex or ups... all of us here on this forum are always excited im sure... "Is this the new gadget i ordered??", "Is this something my significant ordered -.-", "Is it a video game??", or...."IS IT A NEW CAR PART!?!?!?!?!?!?". I'm assuming most of us on here would assume its the latter. So when that box came of course i couldnt wait till it was opened and installed!

Upon opening the box, the packaging was great.. so many bubble snaps that it kept my cats out of my hair for the rest of the night lol. Kudos to you Matt Neubauer! The mount, after unwrapping it and watching my cats pounce on the bubble wrap for 10min, was actually a pretty stellar piece. The initial build quality out of the box was absolutely stellar. The one piece billet 6061 aluminum is a very aesthetically appeasing piece to say the least. (I was actually kinda upset it would get dirty under the car lol). I replaced my Damond RMM with this FJ Performance unit and while they were side by side... the FJ Performance unit was actually beefier than the damond, but again this is a solid mount so there are no comfort bushings. This mount is not for the feint of heart lol.

Install literally took 10minutes, as all rmm's take since its a super easy to access point (as long as you arent a fat ass like me >.<). I was asked by Raider to beat on it a bit and that night I had planned on going to mexico so a wheel change was in order since the blueberry (yes my molestial blue speed is referred to as the blueberry) was already off the ground. I took off the front stock pu wheels wrapped in 235/40r18 PSS' and put on the reinforced FD 16's with 255/60r16 Mickey Thompson ET Streets....

Two hours later me and a couple other guys were heading out to mexico...

Upon start up, I'm sure any of you can attest to the first time you started your speed with an upgraded rmm and ... well you know.... so upon start up the cold start was to say the least very noticable as it made my escort passport lose grip on one of the suction cups. This was to be expected as the same thing happened with my Damond rmm as well. After the blueberry warmed up, she was a little shaky at idle (im at stock idle) but not really bad enough to make a huge difference. The vibes were more felt in the 800-1800rpm range where I can feel the steeringwheel move a slight bit.

The et streets were at 25psi which is rather high for them, but we were driving for a bit on the highway and i didnt feel like lowering the pressure unless there was a real necessity when we got out to mexico for the night. On the drive over the vibes almost ceased to exist past 2,000rpm much like the Damond rmm.

Here's the real "test" that Raider was asking for..... that night in Mexico I was beating the shit outta my car >.< (it was requested right? thats justifiable lol)... I had 8-10 launches, 3 burn outs to warm the tires back up, and 10-12 low rolls (20-30mph)... the outcome was magnificeint... zero wheel hop the entire night.... nothing but complete tire on mexican pavement! It was glorious, the shifter feel was not really any different than the damond.

The following night there was another meet in the opposite direction in mexico and I was accompanied by another speed owner. Another 14-15 dig runs and the same amount for warming up the tires... again this was on a mexican street and still had 25psi in the tires. NO wheel hop, very little engine movement at all. Honestly if you can deal with the vibes, and go to the track quite a bit or autox this mount is very worth it.... if you plan on dd'n your car or drive in town with lots of stop and go traffic... this is not the mount for you.

So far i have about 800miles on the mount, and i will be doing reviews every 750miles or so up till 10,000 miles, but alas.... the car is now down waiting for a turbo to arrive to get it back on the streets.

    TL;DR
    - its a quality product for sure
    - on par with damond for quality
    - beefier than damond with out bushings
    - super easy to install (as all rmm are)
    - vibes are not severe for a solid mount
    - vibe rpm range 800-2000rpm, after that its really not noticable especially if you have aftermarket exhaust
    - zero wheel hop on Mickey Thompson ET Street's, in contrast if i launched to low even at 25psi with the damond mount, i would wheel hop extremely bad
    - 28+ launches so far and everything is perfect
    - shifter feel is no different than the damond mount
    - mexico/track/autox need this in their lives unless they drive in stop and go traffic every day.

now to FJ Performance, I would love to see the solid pmm and tmm for the guys that just track their cars, there are enough of them I think that it could be a really good thing for the autox guys.

more updates and pictures to come ASAP!!

@Fr8cub Sorry if I just missed it, but what are you using for the PMM/TMM?

Ah, I was going to say, I have the full Damond Trilogy and haven't wheel-hopped once. Perhaps if I were at the track/using slicks, the extra friction would make it a possibility. But so far, so good...

Seems like this would be worth installing just for trips to the track or Mexico and swapping back to something more pliable for dd use.

That's my feeling too. But if you don't care, or suffer from lazy, vibes is life.
