Hello, I have been browsing some threads on here and noticed several people had similar issues to me. Essentially what is happening is when I attempt to put a small load on the engine in 3rd gear and higher between 2500 and 3000rpm, the car stumbles and bucks before accelerating. This issue is intermittent and initially happened on a hot day in 100degree weather and caused a cylinder 2 misfire code. I changed the sparkplugs(gapped to 0.28) as instructed by Freektune for my OTS plus tune. Before this issue I was already planning on installing a damond catch can and sending my injectors out to be cleaned, as well as install Overspeed seals on them.

I have upgraded fuel pump internals and I am debating if the issue could possibly be the pressure relief valve as I did the test where you shut the car off while it is warm with the key in the on position to see if the HPFP psi rises. Well after testing it three times, my pressure consistently drops towards 0 and never makes an effort to rise at all. An additional symptom I have been dealing with is a sulfur smell from the exhaust that sometimes leaks into the cabin. This leads me to believe that maybe I have fouled my O2 sensors and clogged my cats.

I have tried to find an answer in this log file I have attached, but I am not nearly experienced enough with this platform to see any issues jumping out at me. The small dip in rpm is clearly visible, along with a spike in fuel pressure from 1700 to 1800. If a more experienced user could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Hoping that's a typo and plugs are gapped to .028" because .28 is waaaaay to big.

Clogged injectors could certainly cause am issue so if that's the plan certainly go ahead with that. Sounds like you know what's up with the prv valve as you've already done the test go get a new one OEM ONLY.

Perhaps you have an exhaust leak near do if you're smelling it in the cabin

Yeah that was a typo for sure. I will get that pressure relief valve and see if that fixes it. If not then hopefully getting the injectors cleaned will. I’m thinking I will get a eBay downpipe too as a means of eliminating possibly clogged cats from the equation if I’m still having issues. Do I need a tune for the car to run with a downpipe, just for a small test drive? Currently running the ots + plus freektune like I mentioned in my first post.

Cup your hand in front of the exhaust for as long as you can hold it, then smell your hand. If THAT smells like sulfur, it’s a bad cat. If it just smells like a dirty hand, start looking for an exhaust leak.

Ok based on this, I think it's a bad cat. Good thing my catless downpipe is on the way.
