My MS6 is very low. I wanted to raise it and so I had ordered some H&R lowering springs because, based on what I’ve seen, they’d be around 2” higher than what mine is.

Today I took out one of the rear springs and it is … the same H&R spring I ordered.

I’m assuming the springs have sagged—the top of the tires are probably 1”+ above the outer edge of the wheel well. I called H&R to see if they could tell me how old they are and they weren’t able to determine.

So, that makes me wonder how long I should expect the H&R springs to take before sagging. Does anyone have any thoughts?

I've had the H&R coilover kit on my 6 for roughly 35k miles so far and still going strong.

There is no way those springs sagged an additional two inches in ten years unless they are made out of garbage Chinese pot metal. Someone may have cut a coil or two off them at some time

I wouldn’t know how long they were on the car. Could have been short or long. I got it at the end of 2019. They don’t look cut to me. The photos show both the top and bottom edge and the paint is seamless.

In any case, I ended up getting some low mileage OEM struts and coils and I really like the original ride height.

I'm saying the car isn't old enough for them to have sagged two inches

I believe you :) Just saying those springs weren’t supposed to lower the car that much (it’s around 4” higher with OEM). I just assumed they sagged.

One other note, when I bought my H&R coilover kit I found the rubber isolator on my old springs were torn. The H&R kit didn't include anything, and OEM replacement was a bit funky. I found this one on amazon and it was perfect:
