    Well engine volume is dependant on how much fuel you can get in there when the piston is all the way down is it not? So if you change rod length and bore diameter you can play with the volume of the engine.
    Usually as far as I know "stroked vs destroked" is in Reference to the stock engine.

    I’ve read most of what’s been linked. Also the E seems to be gone an I’m back to just 91. No massive KR So that’s good. My third gear seems to be a smidge unhappy now but my original issue is mostly resolved very minor popping when the vvt does shit at idle but very rarely

    I was simply refering to making it a 2.0 engine.

    Glad to hear you've got the original issues sorted, my car gives the odd burble or at idle. Has for years especially once I yeeted that stock downpipe out of there.

    Not quite. Rod length doesn't impact displacement, only bore and stroke does. Displacement is based on maximum static air capacity, which is where volumetric efficiency (the ability to meet or exceed that static displacement volume, usually listed as a % where 100% = actual displacement) comes in as a representation of overall engine efficiency, and where rod length (specifically rod to stroke ratio) can be a factor in that efficiency.

    Isn't the displacement formula as follows:
    displacement = (π/4) × (bxb) × s × c

    Where b is equal to the bore size, s is equal to the stroke length, and c is the number of cylinders.

    I'm using (using metric measurements, in MM):
    (Bore * π * (Bore/2) ^ 2 * Cylinders / 1000 / 1000)

    There's probably a number of ways to do it and get a right answer, though.

    A tune is especially worth it on a totally stock car running pump gas. Might save your engine later, if you don't pick the oil that goes into your car.

    Then you're fine either way but it's still useful.
