Hey 2010 speed 3. Last night I changed my key battery because it was dead. Now this morning the key light is on the dash, and the start/stop button is flashing red. any idea of what this is and how to get rid of it.

The immobiliser light came on my MS6 a couple weeks ago. It didn’t affect starting. It was dim at first but eventually became full brightness. It just stayed on. Made me a little nervous but the car drove ok. The light went back to normal after being parked a few hours later.

I had read that the remote battery or the car battery might be at fault. I replaced the remote battery, though the light was off by that point. My car battery isn’t in great shape so perhaps it was that. I’ll replace it if the issue ever comes back.

Might want to check your car battery at a shop.
