Lets talk about turbo blankets/heat wrap

    See the only thing is, I absolutely love the sound of my exhaust. I get compliments on it all the time so I really don't want to alter it and chance the tone.

    In a sense yes haha. I was looking for a solution to cut down on the incabin drone without having to alter the exhaust tone.

    That was going to be my next attempt if the header wrap didn't work. Need to find a lightweight material.

    Yeah wrapping the pipes will help one way or another, won't hurt

    Definitely. I had a shop tell me "all the subie guys use header wrap on their downpipes to cut down on drone." Forgot why I was even at the shop haha. Think I was seeing if I could get my flange replaced since it's warped.

    I was in the same boat...liked the exhaust tone of my setup, but wanted less drone in the cabin...I insulated pretty much all the hatch area (except the hatch door) with Roxul insulation, but it didnt make much of a difference :(
