Interesting, I haven't had that problem, and my Gen1 has a vented oil cap. I know I have the Gen1 cover because I can see the timing chain and the oil cap screws in the old fashioned way.

I know. I had a pu. My point is, I have a juan, I have a vented oil cap, and I don't have any issues with not having a baffle. I don't know what kind of vented oil cap it is but maybe something about its design works better than others.

edit: I have discovered I have this one:

The pu cover is also part of the smoking at idle fix.

the baffles value will depend on how you drive your car, the oil issue with a vented cap on juan covers was that with high boost and blowby combined with high rpm operation was soaking the breather fillers

Wasnt the baffle design on the Vent to intake redesigned. reducing oil mist from soaking the turbo inlet?

Finally, the plates have arrived at the DMV. Need to find time to pick them up.

Video for reference. Slave seems fine. Pedal play seems excessive. Maybe thats how Southbend clutches are, but it does not feel stiff until about half way. Bled it quite a bit, pedal play remained.

I believe they also moved the port closer to the turbo to increase the vacum at idle. Corksport actually had a similar location for the port on their original tip

Getting closer. Having a fun time getting all the wires and hoses put back in. Almost ready to to fire, or at least attempt to.

Work has completely taken over my life. These past two weeks I have clocked over 160 hours at work. I am finally over the hump and things are finally starting to slow down.

Since then, VersaTuner has arrived, and so has my stock gen 2 suspension and my box of random nuts and bolts from a parted out gen 1. Picked up my oil, filters, and some more brake fluid. I was able to get 2 of my ugly gen 1 wheels mounted with sentry brand shit tires.

Anyone have one a picture of their engine bay, so I can see how the wire harness and spaghetti of hoses are supposed to go? I'm sure I could figure it out, but using a picture for reference would most likely be less of a headache.

Ive got a good wide angle shot i got with a gopro. I can take more if you need anywhere specifically. Lemme know what harnesses youre struggling with.

Im pretty far from stock but for the most part the wiring harness is routed about where it should. Im using a vacuum block so you are on your own there.

Thanks man. You pictures did help me a little bit. Wish I was building a 6, then I'm sure the picture would have been more useful.

Well, got a little bit farther this week. Power steering is all hooked up now, correctly. Finally figured out where all the wire harness brackets went on the block and transmission, so the wire harnesses are secured where they are supposed to go.

Ran into a problem when installing the headlights. The main wire harness that I put in does not seem to match the lights. Hope this error remains to me minor.

Took over @AYOUSTIN'S deposit for the 16w intake manifold. I'm glad I'll finally have something shinny under the hood.

is it possible that the car originally had factor HID and they were swapped before the car was sold?

Anything is possible at this point. I did replace the entire harness, its more likely I installed the wrong one.
Im sure the Stealership can look up my vin and tell me what options were on the car, right?
