Welcome to the club. I've changed my oil twice since I bought the car back in Jan and both times I've pulled the drain it's pulled a bit of thread out of the pan. Unfortunately on a 6 you need to drop the pan in order to helicoil it. If yours is bad enough to need a helicoil let me know and I can ship you the helicoil kit I bought for it.

These valves are very much worth having on any car. No need to ever routinely pull the drain plug again.

I installed my front stuts backwards once (90+°F outside, not drinking enough water, slightly delirious). It wasn't physically possible to install the brake lines or end links properly...how this was accomplished...why this was done...I do not know. Look forward to seeing the rest of the build.

I know, I'm failing with the dildo. Right now I'm trying to find a place to store that monster. I can just see my 9yo son walking out of the house while I'm taking pictures of a gigantic dildo that is on my car. "Hey dad, what are you doing? What is that? Lol

There's nothing better than when your mom, wife, and son pull up in the car to the garage while you're working on cars and it's sitting there in all its Glory on a baudy speed.

Suspension is back together, brakes are on, fluid in the brake/ clutch master cylinders. I have gravity bled the lines, now I just need to lure the wife into the garage to help bleed everything properly.

Next will be to install all the engine wiring and I still need to figure out what catch can setup to run. The block came with a Perm Plate, may just block one hole and just run a standard catch can.

Nope, going from a Gen Juan to a PU cover. I love it the PU. Thanks for the CC recommendation, I have contemplated in the past of getting some items from DM. Believe it or not, I have yet to have ever purchased a Damond product. For no reason really, just never did.

Agreed, the engine came with a modified gen 1 that's has the two vents on the top and the rear vent deleted. Not sure who made it. I am now in need of an oil cap.

What's the advantage of the pu valve cover over the Gen1?

Baffeling around the oil fill. If you run a vented cap it keeps it from blowing out.
