I just got a mazdaspeed 6 on trade and it idles / drives perfect. no misfire, no hesistation or stutter just is missing some power. I logged a 3rd gear WOT and it maxed out at 141g/sec. 27psi absolute, 13 degrees of timing advance. Except for a cobb intake this car is completely stock.

Wastegate duty cycle was up to 85%, i was thinking there might be a boost leak , i pressure tested the TMIC and couldnt find any leaks. I reseated all the clamps. I have googled this and searched a bit, but maybe im missing a keyword -- but it seems like engine is choked. The intake filter looks brand new, but could clogged cat or dirty valves cause this? Car has 121k miles

Dirty valves wouldn't necessarily rob power unless they are so full of carbon the port is clogged. Maybe a clogged cat. If you could take the upstream O2 sensor out and drive it to see if acceleration improves that could be a direction to go.

You sure your butt Dyno isn't just calibrated to the car as it is and you just don't notice the power that's there since you're used to it?

Did the actual psi registered say 27 psi or was it 27kpa because 27kpa is not 27 psi. 27 psi would be well over 200kpa

Post up the log, but yes dirty intake valves, leaking injectors, dirty MAF, old spark plugs could all cause power loss

I can log with my HP tuner. Its possible that stock tune and stock power is just so far below what im used to... When you go quarter throttle you can hear and feel the torque from the turbo , its just if you floor it -- nothing changes and i thought airflow logged was very low even for a stock car. I don't really want to drive it any more at the moment, i dont have insurance or a plate on it. I got it on trade and will likely just resell it -- if not i have a 3" downpipe to put on it :)

I'd check the plugs, clean MAF. Also worth seeing how bad those intakes are but it could just be a good old stock car lol

I just did a 3rd gear pull. Same virtual dyno settings on my BNR S4 made 388hp and 252hp on my previous K04 car. This car is so weird that no matter how much throttle you use, it has same amount of pull. It feels like 170hp and it feels like it has really good low end / mid range torque -- just nothing happens up top. Boost is measured here in absolute so 24 - 14.5 = 9-10lbs through pull. looks like it dropped to 7lbs near redline. peak boost was at 3700rpm. On this pull timing advance was logging up to 16 at redline, seems kinda high but maybe not since the load is so low.

What were your AFRs? The bottom section seems like it was kind of lean

Yeah, the car basically stays in closed loop -- looks like it switched to open loop at 4800rpm then afr went from .88 to .71 by 5800 rpm. Looks like STFT are adding a lot of fuel prior to open loop though its desired and actual afr are on target for the load.

Well STFT is only for cruising/idle. Anytime you go WOT the ECU should kick into open loop mode.

A clogged converter would cause a lean condition cause the air can't escape out of the exhaust and builds up however you can make boost so it could be partially clogged. What was the HPFP reading? How long has this happened and have you gotten gas recently that could have been bad?
