Well, like it says over the weekend I installed my Southbend St.3 endurance clutch. I will never recommend for anyone to try and do this by yourself. There's already some good how to's so ill spare that. definitely was ready to be done. The flywheel was rattling from what appeared to be excess play, ill try and upload the video. The pressure plate looks like the fingers have been supper heated several times, blueing all the way under the cover. Yeah that was just about done. See those blue marks on the PP/flywheel? yeah it was overheated.

At least i no longer have the death shakes, the dual mass flywheel must have some sort of lifespan.

Yeh. The springs can break from big impacts.

Weren't you the one who figured out it was the clutch vs the carrier bearing. sad to say, now im not nearly as worried since i cant make it shake.
Ill have to replace the drivers side hub but that's a different story.

Yeah that's me. I'm an Manual Trans Engineer, so that's really the only reason I knew. Those things can take a pounding, but when you're double the torque (a lot of the time) than they were meant handle, things can break.

200 miles in and no more vibrations. not like it was anyway. You can hear a little gear noise but thats probably due to the lack of good iol to choose from. Ill order the fomoco stuff when i find a dealer that will send it for less than $30 a bottle.

    Amazon Prime $21.89/qt:
You could also do Redline MTL (for Pu) at $64 for gallon:

700 plus miles and finally getting used to this. drained out the RP garbage as the trans was making excessive gear noise and the shifting was crap. replaced with the RL MT-85, gear noise is minimal, and shifting is much smoother. Next up is bnr s3 this weekend i hope.
