Sweet! Would love a set of these, along with a Damond OCC, but I'm poor and must wait.

When you're taking a 10 minute video, you have to talk - so my reactions to the NVH (what little there is) were more like a wine taster examining the bouquet and using flowery verbiage to describe the bold fruitiness, hint of raspberry, and dry finish. That last pull was where I realized I had hit the jackpot for fully mounted vs completely tolerable for DD use. You won't be disappointed.

The 2-3 shift makes them worth every penny. Love my Damond mounts. Worth the NVH penalty for sure.

I have these mounts. Love them and the NVH is pretty decent

I have a built BSD car with the DM PMM and it's loud and vibey, but shifting is greatly improved. Other mounts are JBR but paln to make the full swap to DM mounts as money allows.

That's my main thing: performance. A close second is that I don't want overwhelming NVH either, but I'll deal with some of it if I can avoid that notorious 2nd-3rd lockout I've sometimes gotten before I upgraded the TMM. So far so good. We'll see what happens when I swap my JBR PMM for the DM PMM that's on the way. Excited :D

"...me being an NVH vagina.." hahahahaha! Perfect selling point.

Lol - well at least I know you watched the whole thing. And in that same vein, I don't know of anyone else that insisted on retaining the balance shaft for their forged build. This guy did. :handpointright::handok:

I thought about building and doing the same thing. Besides, if I wanted it to be more rev-happy, I could go with a lighter flywheel, maybe even a Fidanza aluminum one.

My experience switching from the JBR70 PMM to the DM PMM on a built BSD car. Both mounts had about the same noise level but the DM mount came with more vibes than the JBR. The JBR was a couple years old and had probably softened up some and was also a 70d. The DM mount has settled down some since install but still more vibes and dash rattles than the older JBR70. There was a noticeable improvement in shifting with the DM mount and the car just feels more solid. Those switching from a stiffer JBR might find things differently. Other mounts on the car are the JBR88 RMM and the JBR70 TMM. I'll be switching out the JBR70 TMM to the DM TMM in the near future.

I'll be going from a JBR 80 PMM to it, no BSD. So we'll see what's up.

TL;DR On the fence about going Damond fully mounted? It's totally worth it: only moderate overall NVH, and top-notch performance improvement in terms of shifting experience and engine immobilization.

After having the Damond trio in for a while now and getting a lot of seat time, I am very impressed. Like I mentioned in my PMM install thread (http://mazdaspeeds.org/index.php?threads/dm-pmm-install.1138/), I no longer get the notorious 2nd-3rd lockout/missed shifts that used to plague me. And I have less NVH with all 3 Damond mounts than I did with only 2 of a competitor's mounts. Overall, I have a very livable DD that performs excellently. I know NVH tolerance is highly subjective, and I actually tend to be more on the end of the scale of having less tolerance for NVH. Having said this, even being fully mounted, I'm completely satisfied. Having the trio does a magnificent job of stopping engine movement and provides a significant increase in shifting performance with only moderate NVH. Performance is important to me, being at higher power levels too (~385/380) with my BNR S3.

I watched this video yesterday. I finally decided to order the Damond TMM to go with my CPE S2 rear mount. I'm going to stay with the OEM PMM for now. My biggest reasons for changing are the 2nd to 3rd shit shift and the 1st to 2nd slow speed Jedi maneuver that I successfully accomplish very rarely on these crappy roads.

Out of character: You wouldn't believe how much pride this post fills me with. Above a business, Matt and I are MS owners. I daily one MS6, and race another. To hear the community be able to enjoy their cars because of something we design and offer is what I call success. Thank you for your feedback.

Now, if you wouldn't mind posting that review on our website :)

@Raider; Get your smiley game up

If I knew your name, I wouldn't sell you a TMM until you tried a softer/competitive RMM. I've found it is the largest contributor to NVH.

Sure thing, Farhan. Gotta link for reviewing the whole trio? I tried finding a place to write a review for being fully mounted, but I didn't see it.

Received this fine piece of art today. While going to look for the guide I noticed the second gem. ;)
