I will be taking the head out to the machine shop for cs cams tapet adjustment and installment and I'm going to replace the head bolts but was undecided whether to buy oem or arp, sold by edgeautosports. cst4, cams, 3.5 inch intake and cs exhaust manifold will be installed on this project. If someone can share some light here because I'm un=decided here. Thanks

    dont buy ARP2000

    They are weaker than OEM.

OEM is good to about 450tq before they stretch and you lift the head

L19's from ARP or Freektunes H11 studs are good for about as much power/tq youd ever want to toss at a motor with stock or bored out stock sleeves

Thanks! you mean 450tq to the wheel or to the flywheel? I'm just doing cst4, cs cams, 3.5" intake adn cs exhaust manifold. I have ets tmic so wondering if with this i could get away with oem ones or should i pull the plug on h11 or L19?

    OEM is good fuck ARP.

450wheel TQ is what OEM is good for, you need rods and pistons upgraded to even touch that number.

Also is this going to be your build diary of just a question thread? So that I can move to discussion area of not a diary

No its just a question thread. Since ii was upgrading the turbo to cst4, cs cams, cs exhaust manifold and htp 3.5" intake, they offered me the arp bolts "to be safe" but unfortunately i haven't gotten an answer back from my tuner. So making 400hp to wheel which is like 460 to the crank, you guarantee me that oem bolts will hold fine and that the head will be fine with those bolts?

Justin@freektune is your tuner right? He will be able to steer you in the right direction as well. I personally guarantee nothing but your stock rods will give way before the head studs do.

Edit: now the custom H11 studs freektune has are a different matter, but again stock rods will go before you need upgrade studs.

To the wheel. My head lifted at like 460wtq on my built motor ms3 with oem head bolts. The bolt closest to the hpfp was so stretched i was able to remove it by hand lol
