Been trying to figure this out for about 2 days now. My 2013 speed decided randomly it was done turning over--the night before it was just fine. Next day after work, nothing.

Oddly, symptoms seem like it would be the fuel pressure relief valve. Not the case though. Just in case though, I've done the following:

    - Swapped over to known good HPFP from my '08.
    - Swapped over *brand new* fuel pressure relief valve.
    - Swapped over just the spill valves
    - Cleaned both HPFPs and spill valves
    - Swapped over known good fuel injection harness from my '08.
    - Checked and verified grounds in the engine bay
    - As a sanity check, I did check the pump resistor as well. Just firing off parts at that point. Swapped over a known good one even though the resistance was in spec.

After letting it sit for another day, or after swapping HPFPs, it will turn over, and then die off. Then it will cease to turn over again. I have just about every imaginable code for fueling. I'm beginning to sense a larger issue here. The car will run without the spill valve connector. Which is what pointed me to thinking that it was the relief valve.

Car has next to no modifications. I mean, the engine itself is a freshly built engine the previous owner had a shop do, but the only actual modifications it has are an intake and a catted downpipe. At this point I'm stumped--I'm hoping it's mechanical because I hate tracking down electrical problems in cars.

Surprise, here's a datalog of me trying to turn the car over.

Did you confirm that you are getting fuel from the in tank pump

He is, when he goes key on hes already at 60 psi. Even if he wasn't, the fuel rail pressure would climb at least a little bit as the HPFP cycled.

Couple of things I can think of that would show up in the log this way:
    1. Spill valve not functioning properly (easy to check with voltmeter)
    2. Internals stuck/not cycling (not real easy to check, but probably a good idea to do so now; I'd go deep enough to use a mirror to inspect the HPFP lobes on the cam too just to be sure)
    3. Rail pressure sensor not reading properly (this would likely only be the case if you can smell fuel in the exhaust; drowned in fuel, it won't start either)

    Well, get to it then.

1 & 2. Hard to believe that between two sets that the problem would be the same. One set of which was pulled from my 08 which I know for a fact was good. Still though, what ohm reading should be expected for the spill valve?

    3. Replaced sensor, same deal. I happened to notice a lot of corrosion in the lower harness though, specifically where the rail sensor connects. I’d bet that will be the problem, but I’ve yet to replace that harness and try it out. I’ll replace it here soon with a good one.

Yeah, maybe cleaning that up would be beneficial.

It was the wiring harness. Where the fuel sensor connects to the rail, that connector was heavily corroded, and continuity between pins there (none of the pins should be continuous with each other, they should all be OL).

After some corrosion treatment and scrubbing, all bueno.
