I want to split off GenPu Discussion to here, as @Faeker has been helping verify the concept of a fix for the 2nd Gen Mazdaspeed 3, 2010-2013 (GenPu) front bumper.

As of August 3rd, here is the status for the fix.

    1) Lower fenderwell area single latch is a CONFIRMED FIX. Cost will be $20 shipped for the custom pins and stainless hardware. Should be ready to ship in 7 days.
    2) Headlight area and lower fenderwell fix is still being developed. Trying to offer the most simple fix possible so stay tuned.

Got pics of the fenderwell fix. @Faeker has the issue in front of the headlights and we are working on that this is for issue #1 above.

I need to see how many want a lower fenderwell area fix, so I can see how many custom pins to order.

    1) Lower fenderwell area single latch is a CONFIRMED FIX. Cost will be $20 shipped for the custom pins and stainless hardware. This rate is a special rate, and may go up. All that will then be needed is the latches and spring from Quik-Latch.

Prices below are for shipping to the lower 48 states. If outside the USA, we will ship to you! Simply PM @Raider (Forum Owner and founder of RaiderFab) or email me direct, webmaster@mazdaspeeds.org with a postal code and country, and I can calculate shipping.

So what comes with the RaiderFab/Faeker kit?
    1) A pair of custom length latch pins, stainless steel washers and nuts to hold it all in place for just $20 SHIPPED to the lower 48 states! This rate is a special rate, and may go up.
    4) Add a Mazdspeeds.org decal for just $2 each to the lower 48 states!

To order, simply go to the MSO Store, and order the Gen2 Kit!

I may actually already have the necessary hardware from my MOR kit, but I'm interested to see how this develops. Depending on what's needed/if I have it already, I'd say I'm in 50%. But if changing from my current "solution" to an actual solution involves a good deal of $$$ to either patch or replace my bumper, I'm afraid I may not be able to justify it at this time.

I do not think their pins are a metric threading, I think they are 1/4 20. Not M6x1.

Could be, but I already have all the washers and nuts for them, so I think it'd be a non-issue... unless I'm having a brainfart and disregarding some obvious incompatibility otherwise, LOL.

With our plan, your Move Over stuff will need to be set on your workbench for decoration.

Gotcha. Fortunately your solution seems very reasonably priced, so it'd be a non issue. Do you know if this applies to my latches too, or would they still work?

Won't work with the Move Over kit at all.

Dang, just my luck. Well, if I go this route, maybe I can sell the latches/pins/hardware for people in the FS section who are amenable to custom fabbing stuff.

Me too. I've been pestering them (hopefully not too much, LOL), but they understandably don't want to release pics until it's completely done/all fitment/bumper sitting flat issues addressed.

Edited the OP to show the fix for the lower fenderwell only on @Faeker's Pu. The fix includes a custom length latch pin with stainless steel hardware screwed into the lower bumper bracket bolt hole.

the one latch fix will work for a lot of people imo. the pu typically has issue with the rear coming out before the front. if the front tab on the bracket is still in good condition then you'll only need the rear fix. the front is being a bigger pain in the ass than I had anticipated. I have the it almost where I would like it but there's still 2 issues I would like to fix before releasing pictures.

That headlight area mount-It's SO CLOSE! @Faeker and I agreed to not offer it as a fix if it's not good enough.

Looks great for the lower fenderwell area! Unfortunately, I'm one of the guys who originally sought a solution because the bumper right behind my passenger headlight kept popping out, so I'm looking forward to see how that particular fix works out.

You know, it occurs to me that I could maybe just keep my two latches intact instead of worrying about patching/painting holes. But then I'll be all riced-out with 4 latches per side, 2 of which would only be for show, LOL! Hey, I may just do it, so long as there's no interference with your placements compared to mine...
