Hello everyone, I have been playing a bit of a guessing game when it comes to getting my genpu to temperature when driving it. I have an accessport v3, and someone suggested that once the coolant temp reaches 160 I can start getting into boost. I often get into a tiny bit of boost for a pull or two after that 160 mark, and then once it starts getting over about 170 I will be more liberal with it (about 8-10 minutes of driving). I really don't like the fact that there is no oil temperature gauge in our cars so the only solution seems to be the adaptor plate + corksport gauge...

Innovative motorsports pressure/temp gauge is probably the more common (and imo better) option. You could T into the OEM sensor location, damond sells a kit that'd only get you one sensor, a second T on it would solve that issue however that's probably more of a failure point than a sandwich plate.

As for temps I try not to hit any boost until 160, no more than 5psi until 170, and until I'm at temp of about 175-177 for 5min in the summer Canadian winter more like 15min I will not WOT. This is because is to ensure the block has fully warmed up and expanded ready for boost.

You have 10-20 minutes of driving after you hit 180 water temp before your oil is up to temp.
