Any data in your cst4 return to rebuild? Your results will sway my choice of cst4 or bnr3. Direct CS involvement in unit may sway it over the BNR vender path.

My turbo predates all the latter ones. It was a Beta turbo. 3rd made. It arrived there late last week. I'll post my update on the 67k mile turbo, but very happy with my turbo as it was.

CS intake manifold? They got one in stock? Nice, please post pics of the interior runners and exterior when you get it I'm curious to see how it looks on more than the one I've seen. (I know looks don't really play into the function on boosted application I'm just curious)

6 to 8 weeks out on the manifold. Tray ships tomorrow.

Still gotta decide on color. Leaning on wrinkle red

Hit it with a bunch of MAF cleaner, it'll be fine.

OK. I just figured it's easier to swap now.

Oem Pcv plate was key suspect in a major oil leak. Like 6 cans of brake cleaner major. Only 1 option. Easy install.

Struts out in prep for the new springs but 1st strut mount fell apart shooting bearings all over. Adding them to the list.

I'll text you some dick pics later.

I think I have one of my balls through the top hat bearings.

The last few pics reminded me of tearing all my stuff apart a few weeks ago. The leaky PCV plate, oil on the MAP, it all looks identical to mine. I cleaned the hell out of my sensor with MAF cleaner as the Penguin said, seems to be working just fine.

The Damond Pcv plate is an awesome piece. So glad the oem is out.

Quick/short work today. Snapped pics of valves and got front struts back in with the Swift springs. Both mount bearings esploded upon removal so new oem mounts and bearings installed. Thank you @Mauro_Penguin for the gift!

Turbo is back from Corksport with the newer hotside. 2021 may see a new CST4 and turbo mani, but not right now.

Sean came up and got a lot knocked out. My Corksport Beta3 is back in place after the magic touch by Barett at Corksport. So much easier to pop in with no EGR. Damknd EGR delete finally in. Yeah yeah. Well that's in. My lowball catted downpipe (from a totaled speed3) is in. Brand new oem (Denso) primary sensor in. 160k on the 1st is commendable. Next week's adventure will be bending the downpipe hanger 1/2 to fit. Got bent in the wreck is my guess. Got that, a few little things like brackets and new hangers to pop on. Then fmic and intake in. After that is valve blasting and rear springs and end links before intake manifold arrives.

Finally another update. My friend got covid so this got back burnered as I worked a ton too.

@Eric@MazdaspeedWireTuck has taken care of my wire tuck. Connectors to the coil packs had heat issues and needed to be replaced. Here is where it gets emotional. My friend Mike Shaw (@VIP) who passed from cancer had a janky wiring harness on his speed3 that a no talent scammer in New Jersey ruined. It made its way to MWT. Eric took Shaw's connectors and put them on mine. Very heartfelt thank you!

Pics or it didn't happen? Ok!

That's awesome that part of @VIP car will live on in yours. Especially in a @Eric@MazdaspeedWireTuck tuck (I don't even have a Fmic and I want one). Happy for you @Raider

6E8D2594-B64C-4500-8F9A-4A80922F9357.jpeg No pics but yesterday my friend Pat came up. Knocked out the rear endlinks and springs. Redid the RSB brackets and found one needed to be widened a mm or so. Endlinks were indeed trash after 159k. Got a couple Corksport exhaust hangers in but being cold, they are fighting being stretched for the exhaust. Heat huh probably needed. Managed go tear off the foam on the front crash bar. Putting it on stands moved it forward enough to clip the garage door. So new clips needed. Next week, finish bolting up the turbo, bend the downpipe bar a tad, finish hangers then blast some valves. Been soaking in CRC GDI cleaner and will coarse blast them. Then hopefully theintake manifold will arrive to get powder coated.

The Mazdaspeed Wire Tuck kit arrived too!
