So I notice when I fill my tank up in which it does not sit level and there are bumps and such while driving I think a bit of meth gets splashed up through the vent and I normally like the smell of meth, but when you get in your car to goto work it is overwhelming and I don't even want to breathe.

I can't block the vent or it will cause a vacuum in the tank and cause feeding issues, so I just copped a check valve. I went with a large 3/8 valve because the larger the diaphragm the easier it will open as the surface area is larger to vacuum on and is rated to open at 2 hg of vacuum which is nothing.

The seals are made of Viton which is really methanol compatible, and the body is made of Kyron which is polyvinylidene fluoride and is also methanol safe.

So obviously you know what is next, I am going to put this on my meth tank lid and not have to worry about fumes anymore.

the leveling really had nothing to do with it, actually the way it is the liquid is further from the lid then it would be if it were level. I am working on a plan to build a base for it to be level on, but either way if you fill it to the very top meth can get to the vent.

I never went through with this because I have found one meth leak after another which are the sources of my fumes, I never recalled having smelled meth in my car, but 5 or so leaks later im starting to see a trend with push connect fittings. I ended up trying to AN Tank tap from devils own but it leaked so I ended up cutting a thick square of plastic and used screws with black RTV to cover the old hole from the tank tap and tapped in a new 4 an Male fitting. Will show pictures later. I would not bother with the tank taps again which was 30$ shipped and is a bad design. I made my new fitting for free out of a extra fitting I had laying around.
