So my car is throwing a code of P0302, misfire on cylinder 2 and has a rough idle under low RPMs. Smoke is coming from both exhaust tips and when the plugs were pulled, plug #2 was caked in oil. replaced the plugs, still having the code/rough idle.

After doing some searching it seems like it can be a number of things: Ringlands have shit the bed, injector seals are failing, possible head gasket issue, etc. Has anyone else had this exact issue before? I only seem to find bits and pieces of this on MSF and I refuse to trust the solutions posted on 24/7 or any of the other sites out there.

Car is going to sit for a day while I locate a compression test kit or build one at Home Depot if I get desperate enough. Shit couldn't have happened at a worse time. I just got back from Japan and have job interviews this week but now no car. Ugh....

oil is not good. Compression test for sure.

Usual is plug gap check, plug swap, swap coil packs.

Plugs were swapped and the problem continues. Plug from Cylinder #2 was also caked in oil. I'm currently trying to track down a compression test kit and go from there.

Comp test shows major failure in cylinder #2 :( Looks like its time to either rebuild it myself or find a shop that will do it.

Thought there was a SoCal dude that built em. Not Micha was Nator on the old forum, but went pro. Could be wrong.
