So I’m going Wednesday to look at another speed. This one is for my wife. I showed her pictures of it and she really likes it. The car is an 06 black cherry speed 6. So I’m showing her pictures I found online for reference of what she can make it look like. Then I start tellin her what is already done to the car and what all it has. I said it also already has a v3 access port. She perks up and says does that mean you can call that guy over at grape punch and get my car tuned like yours?
After I picked myself up off the floor I said yeah babe I’ll get ahold of Will at Purple Drank. Then she told me not to get her anything for Valentine’s Day because she wants car parts if the deal goes thru. Man I love this woman!

We ended up going out and looking at the car today. The owner is in a different town so I didn’t get to look inside or pop the hood. The engine is toast so I don’t need to or get to hear it run. There is also 8 inches of snow on the ground so I didn’t get to look under it. The exterior is in pretty good shape. The most important part is that she liked it. Supposed to meet him and if all works out right we will have it towed home Wednesday.

    Lol, grape punch.

Black cherry mica is one of my favorite car colors ever. It's a bitch to keep looking nice though, but personally I'm up to the challenge.

It is a cool color. The paint is sorta dull. Not real bad but it has no depth to it. I figure a good buff and wax should make it look really nice.

Oh yeah, a good paint restoration should help. At the start of the quarantine last year I got a DA polisher and did a multi step paint restoration on the car and I swear the color changed, like it was a couple of shades more to red than black. It looks really great in the sun. You have to be careful though, the clearcoat is super soft and scratches if you look at it wrong.

I'm not nearly a talented enough photographer to really capture it, unfortunately. It really takes a lot of sunlight to see the best in it, but at the same time it's so reflective that you can't really make out the color that well. I'm actually a half decent amateur photographer with some decent camera gear and I still haven't quite figured out how to get a good pic of this car. I'm better at taking pics of people!

This is a potato phone pic, but kinda shows the problem, it's so reflective the camera has a hard time capturing the color.

For some reason I can’t see the pic but I know what you mean. I use to do custom paint and never could get it to look good in a picture. The only exception was true fire. It always looked better in a picture than it did in real life lol
