Dead section is dead

 

PS I bought another racecar. The total of racecars at my house exceeds street cars.

 

I'll gladly take one or two off your hands of you want.

crapatalk, yes it sucks for free.

 

My car was under the knife all summer. I didn't get to take it to the track at all this year!
lol Now that it's raining, the turbos are finally here it's all sorted out and it's almost ready for tuning.

New racecar is a 92 Spec miata. Decent pile of spares, LSD is in good shape, should be a blast to drive.

I did a hyperdrive this weekend for the first time. It was a lot of fun. I have a lot of things to work on. I'm hooked now.

 

How did the car handle? What are you going to adjust for next time?

 

The car handled great. First thing is I need to trust the car more. The car handled very well considering how many mistakes I was making. There is a long list of things I need to work on.
1. Break hard before turn
2. Get into desired gear before turn
3. Heal-toe shifting
4. Get better at turn entry
5. Acceleration when exiting the turn
6. Looking ahead
7. Seat position

Those are the main things that I need to work on. Once I get better at driving I can fine tune the car better. I'm definitely going to do it again and considering climbing the HDPE ranks.

heel-toeing in the three is a wonderful thing.
Don't be afraid of the revs on corner entry.

 

I would start looking ahead a little bit on the car prep side with brake ducts for the front. Just plan on it now and get something going when you can.
