So I want the deep throaty sound an axleback exhaust makes, and I'm trying to decide between the Ultimate Racing and Corksport systems. The prices are similar and both are good quality.

I'm not looking to be loud enough to wake the neighbors when I leave the house at 5:45 a.m. From what I can tell on the web sites, the UR has mufflers of some type and the Corksport does not. Am I correct in assuming the Corksport would be louder? Or are the UR mufflers essentially pointless and do little in the way of noise reduction?

Cpe catback is nice. No highway drone louder than stock. Slightly louder and deeper idle. Gets loud when you step on it but otherwise is pretty quiet. Got mine used for 400

Or get a full 3" exhaust and enjoy more power (even in certain areas on K04), or 35-40+ more whp when BNR S3'd or higher (ask me how I know :D )

Corksport resonated catback and the Cobb v2 catback are two of the best sounding exhausts out there. Corksport's axleback doesn't appear to have the resonated option, but I'm sure if you contact CS, they can do something for you.

In terms of OTS, I'd agree. I went full custom with a UR 3" midpipe and a Magnaflow 14419 with custom 3" piping and a single exit. No highway drone at all, and a great snarl when I WOT. I've heard nothing else that sounds like it, and I love it. Unique and awesome.

I have a CNT catted DP and a UR axleback. IMO, the drone from the UR is too much at HWY cruising (70-75). I put in a vibrant ultra quiet resonator and that killed much of the drone but it is still drony imo.

Also, a fellow Nator member has the speed daddy. It is an ill fitting thing that melted his bumper. But iirc it is a UR clone

I'm a fan of how the CNT catback sounds.

I'm running 2x resonator delete on otherwise stock exhaust at the moment and I am happy with it. Seriously, it was a solid mod for 80 bucks. Even if it's only for sound

Seeing that I am catless dp and non resonated I think the I need a deep sounding cat back to mellow everything out... I like the ultimate racing but damn that thing is expensive

Thanks for all the replies. I listened to some videos of the resonator delete, and it does sound really good. But...I still have almost two years left in my factory powertrain warranty, and if I cut out the resonator and need warranty service, that would scream "modified!" to the dealer. I'm currently able to stock out in a few hours and an axleback would also be easy to switch out for the factory exhaust. If it wasn't for the warranty, I would most likely go with the res delete.

At this point, I'm leaning toward the UR once I have a few hundred saved up.

Well, I would just keep mine. But doesn't it have to be cut out, making it obvious that work was done on the exhaust?
