Yeah I looked at doing it that way but decided to aggravate myself by doing the "harder" way. Im definitely going to pull the clip when putting it back in.

Yesterday, had tires balanced and changed l/f strut, bearing, top hat, bump stop, ball joint, bushings, and end links. Today, r/f and alignment. I used OEM strut bearings, top hats, and bump stops. KYB Struts, and MOOG end links, ball joint. I kept thinking I had tire issues with vibrating/tire shimmy. It turned out to be mainly the rear control arm bushings. They were pretty wore out at 216k!

Got my pre-Dragon goodies in today. Very excited to try out the Damond mounts. Can't believe I waited so long on the RSB.

Hoping to install it all this week!

Love my full DM trilogy (and it's not even totally broken-in yet!) Love my Tru-Torsion 125 too. Since I'm on Swift springs (252 lbs/in) I used the middle setting on the RSB, which is great. I hear a lot of folks like full stiff too.

Yeah, I'm super excited for the mounts. I'm coming off of the JBR 80/88 trilogy so I'm hoping for the same level of performance with less vibes.

I plan on using the middle setting as well. I like a neutral feeling turn in and I think full stiff is just a touch too much oversteer based on friend's cars that I've driven. I'm confident the middle setting will be way better than stock if nothing else, which works well enough for me. It'll be nice comparing the stock rear sway with the JBR this year on the Dragon.

Swapped out the catless ebay DP on the 3 for a CNT catted to help control my boost. I hate swapping downpipes so much too.

I have a ton of stuff to do on the 6 this week.
Rear(front) diff mount to install, rear driver DSS axle to install. New clutch slave cylinder to install. Oil change. Install my DM oil pressure sensor adapter so I can install my oil pressure gauge, install my wideband AFR gauge finally. Who knows what else I have to do.

Drove into the middle of a severe storm this morning. The first real heavy rain test for the Conti DWS06 and they passed with flying colors. If I was still on my previous Goodyear tires, I would probably had to go slower or maybe stop on the side of the road.

Got the Damond mounts on today. Car is still on jackstands so that I can flush the brake fluid tomorrow, so no test drive yet. But, first impression is that so far there are just as much, if not more, vibrations than the JBRs. It was slightly quieter inside the cabin on cold start though, much less transmission noise. Most of the vibes were in the 1-2k range when free revving, very similar to JBR mounts before they break in fully.

I'm hoping most of the vibes were due to the car still being on jackstands on the concrete garage floor. Once the wheels and tires are back on the tires should dampen some of it. Test drive will happen tomorrow afternoon.

Got a car wash for the first time in months and watched my car change color. The side skirts were almost black before from dirt.

The soot is pretty much a permanent fixture at this point.

Yep, just plastidip or vinyl the rear valence a dark color if it bothers ya. If you do ever get an aftermarket exhaust, I recommend adjusting the tips to protrude out from underneath the bumper more. It really helps cut down the accumulation. I did that personally, besides just going single-exit (and vinyl).

Removed my DM trilogy and put it back on using the correct torque specs for everything. Used supplied washers on the TMM to raise it up a little to help level it out a bit.

Checked torque of RMM bolts after installation of it the other day. There is some weird metallic rattle on deceleration in first and second gear. Its not the bolts. Maybe a heat shield somewhere. The metallic rattle goes away when the clutch is pushed in. Almost seems gear noise related. Didn't hear it with the stock RMM installed. Hard to say if its being caused by the added vibes from the RMM or there is just some added transmission gearing noise being transmitted into the cabin now. Seems to be really loud in 1st and 2nd decel, but 3rd thru 6th on decel doesn't do it. o_O

Didn't install them yet, but received these goodies in the mail today. TB Coolant Bypass, JBR TIG for IM and TB, and the HTP 3.5" intake.

Summer rubber went back on yesterday, along with a quick bath. I also applied some Hypnotic Tuning love to the back windshield.
