What I am talking about is the angle of my legs. I am 6'4" with a long torso. My other rides are a CX-9, which has a great seating position, the other is a CX-5 which is similar. IF you look at a GTI, for example, the ingress/egress is much easier. A lot is windshield angle too.

This is just a throw-away comment on my part. Your mileage may vary....

For me I've just always had Mazda cars (along with others) and personally just love the sleeper look of the gen1.

I'll probably tune the car for 300-320 whp (basically there already) then do suspension using all the methods described in the suspension tuning thread.

It's the first car I've done all my own work on so it's partially understanding the platform and the issues to be aware of (all platforms have different ones).

Bought the car used a few years ago and it's held up rather well, so it's getting retired to the garage as a dedicated tuning car this summer. I'll daily my Highlander and wife will get something new.

With the two car garage I'm getting in June (new house almost done finally) everything is coming up Millhouse!

I'm coming in at 6'5" and that's exactly it, I actually found the non tech pack seat didn't go down as far so I ended up in a tech model. But at least I fit, hell I don't even fit properly in the ladies 540i

I was looking at buying an sti, buddy of mine that had just bought a focus st told me to look the the speeds, test drove one came back and started doing paperwork... mainly because I knew it was unmolested (43km) and I got almost 7k off the price tag because of Mazda's discontinuation sale for the speeds. I still want an sti but I love my speed and wouldn't sell it to try and get into one, unless maybe they bring back the hatchback.

I love they it looks with a little bit of personal flair. That`s what got me interested. Then I learned how easy it was to modify on a performance level and that it was really pretty easy to get it to 400hp. I`ve always been a fan of hatchbacks, and a fast hatch satiates two cravings for me.

^ very usable and daily driveability is good with that level too, as long as you've got a good leg ;)

Over 400 here, and I have no problem using it when I want it. All about how you tune it and how you drive (as well as proper tires and suspension set up)

It`s as usable as a 400lb bench press. If you have it, you find something to do with it.

Now 400wtq at 3k rpm is a different story.
