Question with anyone who might know. I am currently running ISC coilovers with evo x wheels. I have a set of 17x9 RPF1's +45 offset with 255/40/17 Continental DW's that i will be throwing on. I will need a 15 mm spacer in order to clear the struts in the front. I was curious if anyone who is running a 15mm spacer )with built in studs) if the stock wheels studs are to long and if so, what size wheels studs would be the best size. Thank for the help.

Update: The studs are too long. I was able to cut them down and make them flush so that the wheels fit flat against the spacer.

You will need extended studs in the front in order to have enough threads to safely run a 15mm spacer... luckily for you I have the exact ISC + 15mm spacer + 17x9 RPF1 setup you're planning on running.

I recommend these ARP wheel studs. They come in 5 count packages (usually ARP wheel studs come in 4) and are cheaper than your usual racing extended ARP stud. I'm not sure of the actual length of them but I've been able to mount my 25mm spacer + slick setup and still have enough threads to safely mount the wheel.

Thanks for the info. I plan on getting spacers soon. I just know that the studs were wither going to be to long for the spacer itself to where the wheel would hit the stud before it lays against the spacer or it will be to short and there will not be enough thread to properly secure the spacer.

I believe the rear either needs a 5mm or 10mm spacer to clear the rear struts. I need to look into that part as well.

They are 2.5 Inches under the head. Substantially longer than stock. I recommend getting the ball joint separator to press in and out if you don't have one. With a 15mm you might get away with OEM lug nuts. Might.

You will need longer in the back if you go 10 as well. Those studs and a 10mm spacer will require different lug nuts based on my experience. I run with 12mm spacer and got longer lug nuts

That would be better than hammering away until they pop out, lol. The spacers will come with its own lug nuts to secure the spacer and then i have a set up lug nuts that will fit the RPF1's since the ones i use for the evo x wheels wont fit.

I clear my +45 RPF1 with an ISC coil in the rear no problem but gen1 and gen2 may be a little different in the rear.

Also, a hammer and some determination will get the studs out just fine. After I got a couple removed and was used to it, it took only two hits per stud to pop them out. My car also had about 154k miles on it when I did the job.

If you're getting spacers with studs in them though, you don't need to upgrade the studs. I opted for lengthened studs since I knew I'd be switching out what spacers I was using depending on what wheel setup I was using.

The problem is if the oem studs are too long and i put the spacer on, the wheel might hit the studs before they hit the spacer, there fore its not sitting flush. Not sure if that made sense or not. I guess I should mention that the spacer i would be using has its own studs built in. link below:

    Cut the OEM lugs shorter

Put a nut on the stud before cutting it, when you remove the nut it will clean the threads up

Spacers have arrived. Just purchased an angle grinder to cut down the studs.

I shortened the studs on the front wheels via angle grinder and put on 15mm spacers up front and 5mm spacers in the rear. Not as much poke as I thought i was going to have. Love them.
