Not sure what the typical turn around is like with the tuning he is doing right now but I haven't been able to get into contact with Rob in over a week. I am in the middle of a BNR S4 tune on my MS6 with Hypnotic but I am worried something may have happened.

Has anyone been in contact with him?

He is usually really good at getting back to me even if it is just with a quick response email. So I am actually worried about his well being.

Rob if you see this, I hope all is well. I just wanted to make sure nothing bad has happened.

I've seen him post a bit on Facebook in the past week so no reason for me to believe he's MIA. Sure he didn't just accidentally look over your e-mail?

I messaged him on Facebook and he messaged me back. My emails probably went to his Spam folder...

Im currently getting tuned by him but its been about 2 weeks since our last interaction/revision. I re-sent logs last week figuring that he looked over the email by accident. I'm assuming that hes just busy.

You`ve heard from him since last time I did then. We had literally just agreed to get my tune started on the new motor, sent my first logs and that was the last I heard from him. Ended up taking the time to tune it myself and I`m glad I did, but still a little curious what happened.

He got back to me but I think his outlook account may be the issue with it's Spam filter. My work email does the same thing when certain contractors send me quotes or emails with attachments.

I could tune myself but I don't want to pay Cobb for the stupid download for my MS6 access tuner software. I have the MS3 software from when I had my Gen2 but never downloaded the MS6 version. I also do not know the little nuances of the MS6 ATR which I would be asking for a lot of guidance. Being in Ontario there are not many experienced self tuners I am aware of that could offer guidance. If someone has the software to share I will download it for safe keeping.

I trust Rob because we have conversed a few times on the old forum so I'm confident with his experience level and knowledge base. He already spotted an AFR issue which was exhaust leak at my XS Power V3 turbo flange... had to take it off the car and get the warped flange milled flat. I should have a new tune by today now that I managed to make contact with him.

I had the same problem. He told me my emails were going to his spam box.

If you are using Outlook for your email it will occasionally do that. Not sure why. My job uses a Yahoo business based email system and I setup Outlook just to check my email because I hate using web based stuff on my slow ass work computer. For whatever reason emails from my coworkers occasionally go to Spam (labeled "Bulk Mail" in Outlook). Even if I put them on the "whitelist" using Outlook... it still sends them there occasionally.

Facebook or email is best. Rob is on point with his work and you will be more than content with the results.

Yep, just gotta keep at it. He'll notice you eventually and will get back. Just be sure to attach the tune you're wanting revisions made to or if you are inquiring about having a completely new tune put together and fill out the mod form in that case.

I wanted a few logs looked over and between a few messages I sent on FB and mentioning him on one of his FB posts in the hypnotic group he saw and got back with a revision pretty much next day.

You tuned your own car, largely based on the previous map and base map I sent you I'd imagine.

In any case, I felt you were a liability considering your involvement in a situation on here an FB, and considering I fulfilled my financial obligation on your first tune, I don't feel as if I owe you anything.

Ah yes, there's the pettiness that makes me glad I never purchased a Hypnotic tune.

If defending yourself and your work is petty, then yes. I'm petty.

    Have a great day.

Tell Jason I said Hi next time you talk to him.

Defending oneself is fine; it's the manner in which it's done that's important.

Making an agreement with Jef to help him with the new tune on his built block then inexplicably ghosting, and jumping onto MSO months later to vaguely blast that he's some sort of "liability" as your justification, was a garbage move. Instead of disappearing without a word and then negatively bringing it up here after the better part of a year, you could have just spoken to him at the time and explained your reconsideration. I don't feel that what he posted was particularly critical or negative, rather just a basic statement of fact of what happened, so to respond in such a manner seems unjustified and unflattering.

Here is where we differ immensely. Jeff came to me because he thought his first tune could be looked into and improved on which, he paid for and was completed.

It's curious to me that Jeff decided to post negatively in this thread considering the high praise he gave the tune in comparison to his old tune.

Now, add that to the fact that he got a FREE base map, and his continued (@ least 2 I know of) involvement in negative participation, THAT is where I draw MY viewpoint from.

Again, if anyone owes anything it's Jeff who owes ME for his basemap, but I didn't say anything of the sort until I saw the negative post about his experience with me.

So the way I see it, Jeff had a positive experience he "forgot" to mention and that he got a "free" base map but I see no mention of either.

Combine that with the fact that I was able to improve upon his previous tuner's map and that is where I hold the beef, and log on...

If you don't want to tune with me, that 's fine.. but present the facts not just your biased and incomplete opinion.
