Steering wheel bezel/trim discoloration

Does anyone know of these is a way to restore this trim piece or is painting it the only way? - other than leaving it as it is.

agreed just looks dirty, perhaps stained I'd clean it with something like chemical guys inner cleaner or nonsense Colorless & Odorless All Surface Super Cleaner hen hit it with their VRP
