Hi all. Just joined after I to took out a MS3 engine. Going to have a number questions about doing the engine work and what modifications I should consider.

My cars, both are 2008s, one is black. I brought it from a friend who was the original owner. Got at 154000 miles, 7years ago. Its all stock, still running strong with 216,000 miles. I am amazed that it does not leak or burn oil, its on the original clutch and turbo. It still a blast to drive it. The other car I got from the same guy that I got the black car from. A white car that he got from the original owner, a friend of his. It has non stock intake and a Cobb access port and it was using a level 1 tune. I got it cheap do to a bad head gasket. It has 154000 miles on it. I just pulled the engine after fighting with way too many rusty nuts and bolts.

well here a easy one I hope. I can not find this part on the Madza parts catalog. after taking out the engine I started to inspect some of the parts and this "pipe" has a rust hole. Since its been a couple of weeks since I took it off I am not sure where it came from, duh. Pretty sure it has something to do with the cooling system, but I could be wrong.


Also I have many questions on how many things I should replace while the engine is out. I think that post should go some where else on this forum, the engine section maybe?
