Reece's MS6 Build!

Hello all! Thought I would make a build diary since I have done a fair amount on this thing. My name is Reece, and I am a college student at Lancaster Bible college and I work as a car mechanic part-time in Millersville, PA.

Back on April 22nd, in 2025, I bought @Sleepin6 's build. I absolutely loved it! Here is a quick build list from when I had it:

-K1 Rods
-CP Pistons
-Supertech valves
-Balance Shaft delete
-CST5 Turbo
-Andrew's upgraded rear axles
-Upgraded Diff Mounts
-Rebuilt Transfer case with upgraded caps
-ACT 6 Puck Clutch
-Upgraded FMIC
-Damond Dual CC
-JMF V1 Intake with 1050x Injectors
-Tuned on E45
-ISC Coilovers with Godspring 14k springs
-Fortune auto carbon fiber vented hood
-A bunch of other supporting mods, way to much to list here!

This car taught me so much. I had it without issues until September of 2025, when the clutch went out. And then my power steering pump went out. I then installed an Act 6 puck and a new power steering pump! Ran good (minus a few minor issues) for a few months until December 6th, 2025.

This was absolutely devastating to me. It was so beautiful, and the perfect amount of fast. I spent the rest of the week upset about it, and then I got to work. I decided I am going to bring this beauty back!

After Insurance came and obviously totaled it out, I bought it back from insurance and I towed it back to my house using my shop's tow truck.

I then stripped it down to it's bare bones, and towed it back to my shop to pull the rest of it on a lift

After I got this all sorted, it was time for the new shell!

Here is me when I picked up the new shell! It is from Arizona and has 109k miles on it.

Quick part list/build list of this.

10k miles on the fully built motor.
-Manley Rods+Pistons
-Darton Sleeves
-PTE 6262 Journal bearing (blown)
-Clutch Masters twin disk clutch
-Bosch 2000CC Injectors
-JMF V1 Intake
-Twin Aeromotive ITFP
-Damond Motor Mounts
-Damond OCC

I then bought:
-Pulsar 6262 Dual Ball Bearing Super Core
-New Shift Cables (custom)

Bunch of other random smaller things that I will include in the final build list

I then got to work tearing it all down and rebuilding the transfer case, installing new shift cables, and some minor rust repair under the carpet. I checked the clutch, painted the alternator, power steering pump, ac compressor, tranny, and a bunch of misc. parts.

That is how it sits right now. I also sent out my injectors to injector masters, and got them back! 10/10 would definitely recommend.

A true labor of love. Glad to see you are keeping her.

Good luck with the build and restoration

Got some more progress done the past week!

I got the engine/trans/t-case/turbo all hooked up

IMG_1781.jpeg

Then I was able to plop it back in.

And I got my interior 90% of the way done!

All I have left to do is deal with some of the f’d wiring under the steering column, and finish up the front end. Fuel lines, vacuum lines, top oil feed line to turbo, wiring harness, boost lines, boost piping, coolant hoses, etc!
