Since Im doing a bunch of work with it I figured I would do a write up of my AIS meth kit, as I haven’t seen any of them around in the community and it’s a nice option in my opinion.

Back last year I bought off @HawkeyeGeoff; a used stage 1 trunk mounted meth kit that he bought used and never installed. It was in rough shape to say the least. Wires were cut and poorly soldered together, was just a complete mess. The AIS website says it should take about 90 min to install, well due to the condition it took me about a week of evenings (granted I had no instructions as well)

First up I mounted the 2.5 Gallon tank into the trunk. Made myself a nice ½” base to mount it on along with the pump. Nice thing about the whole trunk set up is I can still (just barely) fit the trunk floor back in and no one is the wiser and I didn’t lose any carrying space. Of course Ive deleted my spare, but that’s been replaced by a can of fix a flat and a small compressor.

Next I ran the lines under the outside of the car to the front. Made myself a throttle body plate to spray pre-intake manifold with a dual nozzle set up. As of right now Im running a DO10 and a DO7 nozzle.

Lastly was tackling the wiring; what a mess this was. As I mentioned there were no instructions so I pieced together what I could based on things I found online. Managed to get it all up and running though just fine.

As you can see the difference between my 93 tune and my meth tune is a fair bit. Everything is running great but there is work to be done on the kit to get it where I want.

Clean trunk, excellent choice of multimeter, like the air straightener, are we insulating our TIP ?? nice touch. not a fan of OSB, but it'll hold a screw. Where does the PCM usually live?
[doublepost=1457792245][/doublepost]I just realized who OP was...................

    HAHAHAHA

Dude, when I cut metal, they called me wood splitter, after wffing up a vise mount repair in the shop and butchering some pallet loads.

HAHA, and you, the only part of that install that isn't tight is the cuts on the OSB look like a 4 year old did em

Machinists and wood do not mix

Hope spring comes soon man, Peace

Yeah osb isn't my first choice. I had plans for it to be aluminum or possibly 1/2" lexan. But it works and other things have taken priority. I also want to make a frame for it so I can put heavy things in the trunk and not worry about them sitting on the tank.

The ecu is attached to the fuse box cover where it is in the picture.

It's been dialed in since then, this was just the long I had. It needs to be all redone now with a JMF and stainless lines.

Will at PD tuning is tunning me right now, so it's all good.

No elegant place to put that thing is there..... when I effed my harness I spliced new plugs on, which added 8" of length giving me more options, but still no AHA moment

Licsense plate backing frame might make a nice piece of stock for the mount, mebbe small though. loving pop rivets lately....
