Just a thought about undertray, I just put one on my juan yesterday and am already seeing improvements. This is with a stuck thermostat. I have fmic ducting and no back of hood weather strip.

FYI that's the Max for the ECT sensor: ~240-245. So you're maxing out the sensor, and ACTUAL coolant temperature may be much higher.

That's not cool, but I've only ever seen 240 once. But 230 is where I let up at track days. Which sucks because I've hit it multiple times

Maybe. Or maybe it wasn't necessary because things were cool enough already. Seems like a vent right over the EM/turbo could only help even more. But if you're happy with the temps already, why hassle with it, I guess? Makes sense to me.... ain't broke, don't fix it.

Anyone gonna speak to the aftermarket oil cooler idea? I'm not sure how many degrees it's drop oil temp, but seems like it could only help.

Before "upgrading" the oil cooler, testing should be done to see what oil temps actually are, and if the upgrade is necessary.

Hes gonna be nude on SI with an American Flag. Hope it will be hanging low enough to cover his saggy old man balls.

    Back on track, http://www.rockauto.com/?carcode=1434570&parttype=13300

This morning I ran over a coffee mug that was just chilling in the middle of the road and nicely hidden by the other cars in front that cruised over it. My subframe obliterated it like Alderaan. Decided to just suck it up and at least throw the stupid cover back on. $35 with hardware. Just going to cut out the hole around the filter for easier change access, and for the OCC drain and it will be back on. As lame as side moldings.

That is really the only reason I considered it. Not gonna fight having to find the bolts I removed. I hate this thing already. But in the interest of lower temps and any sort of protection to the engine and trans, I will give it a shot.

I didn't realize how important this thing was. I ordered the Gates thermostat as well. Hopefully i can change it this evening, looks like it will be a pain in the ass.

When I did it, I was pulling the manifold off anyway. Made it easy.
