A very trustworthy shop I recommend in eastern PA. All Wound Up Autobody. This place doesn’t cut corners but you will pay to make it look brand new again. When i look at it now the money never bothered me. Im keeping it til it dies or i do...lmao...
Sorry for the old thread revival, but did your autobody shop cut out the rear quarters and weld in new ones? I'm assuming you had a rust issue there?
Yes. Everything was removed that was rusty on the entire car except the rocker pinch welds. Im thinking i will have that done after i get my garage and its stored inside for the rest of its life.
After spending all that money, just careful about watching relative humidity in your garage. I live in the snow belt that is Canada and was so excited once I had my garage. Well, in the winter, when the car brought in snow and salt, the humidity would peak at greater than 80%. Pretty sure that's how my rust problem started. So I'd recommend grabbing a humidity meter to monitor. I now have a dessicant style dehumidifier that works down to 32 deg F. It's good for preserving the tools as well.
My ms6 will never see salt again. Its from the east coast and has had many winters underneath of it. I may get another to daily for winter but have a truck so its not needed.
