well...it's been a minute and thought i'd check in.

bronco is running strong. it's now on a 2.5" lift, 33" tires, 4.10 gears, and i have detroit truetrac (limited slip) differentials front and back.

right about the time my wife's escape died, i ditched my fusion, too. but i was in a pinch and my brother came through with a new DD for me. a 2002 mini cooper 2 (super charged) fucking clown car with a stupid british flag on the hood.

i put a 17% reduction pulley on the super charger and hawk HPS brake pads in the front. that thing will scoot when i don't have to work on it.

and...to celebrate her start in a new career of being a registered nurse, my wife treated herself to a turbo charged 2022 CX-5.

in b4 pics or it didn't happen.

Are the 4.10s even a reduction with that size tire?

it is a reduction, but not by much, it's generally seen as more of "maintaining stock gearing". however, stock tires were something that equates to about 30" tires. i've always had 31" tires on it. now on 33s and with the 4.10s it has better acceleration than ever.

How are the dual shocks up front?

Recently got hold of a 1993 f250 with TTB in the front. Was reading up and considering dual front shocks, since front sway bar options are limited for TTB.

they put them on the trucks as part of a towing package. some say that shock technology has rendered the aux shock unnecessary, but i just leave it the way it was designed. the ride is as smooth as i'd expect a lifted 4x4 to be. and when i tow, everything performs well.

i don't run a front sway bar b/c i can't find quick disconnects. i need them disconnected/removed when off-roading. but, since i can't do it easily i just removed it.
