Howdy folks, the time has come for me to get some new tires and as you can see in the photo my current 255 falkens poke ever so slightly in the front. I have to run a spacer in the front to clear the brakes and I didn’t know this when I originally got the RPF1s (17x9 +45). I am thinking of trying out a 245 but I’m looking for opinions on if I should go a 245/40 or 245/45. Stay classy . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
interesting that you posted this, i am looking to get new wheels and tires for my car, what size spacer are you running in the front, are you lowered and did you have to roll the fenders to make everything fit.
I have 5 mm spacers in the front, lowered on swift lowering springs, no rolling and ive never have an issue with rubbing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hi bro, if you want to change the tire size, You need to change the values the ECU change, Beacuse this little change can affect the speedometer, I recommend this, you can use the forscan. It's just my recomendation, Regards!
Or just appreciate that it's off a little, very easy to get a gps speed and figure it out, knew a dude with a truck who's speedo was about 15 off and he knew it no problem always did appropriate speed
Well, I like that everything works as it should, but if this doesn't affect you, this sounds good to you, where I live the speed limit issue is critical and 15 above is already a problem, maybe 5 or 10 is fine. Regards!
Well since nobody did the math I'll help you out. I can tell you its nowhere near 15 mph error its not even close to 5 mph error so yeah its NOT a big deal. I mean unless going 92 MPH when you think you are going 90 MPH is a big deal. In the other case you would be going about 89 MPH when the speedo indicated 90 MPH. Either way if you get pulled over its probably not going to go well for you.
