    Hello, Happy to be here.
I'm new to Mazdaspeeds.org, Not new to the platform however. It started with a 2012 MS3 in 2018. I purchased it from a dealer with 75,000 Miles and loved every second of it. However, some middle aged woman in a lifted 4Runner decided she wanted to get a bit tipsy on a Sunday and ran over the front end of it at 108,000 Miles in 2019 while heading to my (now) wife`s house. That was a sad SAD day (only car I've shed a tear over). My wife loved that car, drove that car to Tennessee twice, and had many memories in a MS3. After that I messed with these cars ever since I owned my last one. Mostly helping friends build and install parts on both MS3s and MS6s.

When it came time for me and my wife to purchase a new car in January we looked at several cars. WRXs, S4s, Civic SIs, etc. But I couldn't forgot the MS3 I missed so much, I talked to my wife and she was on board, so I set out on my journey to find one. After hours of looking I finally found one, a 2013 Velocity Red Mica MS3. I went and looked at it the best I could for a wet, 30 Degree day. It had a few small problems like cosmetic stuff, an oil leak which in my mind was no big deal (It was), and the kid uninstalled the V2 accessport then broke it on accident (so he said), so the car wasn't tuned for the mods, but had a V3 He threw in with it.
Did I buy it you ask, Heck yeah I did!

I got the car home and instantly pulled it in to diagnose the oil leak, and oh boy I found it. Turns out one of the previous owners snapped a bolt off where the oil drain bolts to the turbo, then tried to drill it out which only made it worse. Was I sad? No, not at all. It just meant I got to install new, better parts, and do it correctly too!

I instantly came upstairs and ordered a big Turbo (Kinugawa TD05-H18G, Same spec as CST4) and a few other mods.
Once they got here I got them installed within a few days and I'm happy to say, No more leaks!

    Mod list is as follows
    -Kinugawa TD05-H18G
-New Oil return with new gaskets and bolts
-Mishimoto FMIC with HKS SSQV BOV
    -Autotech HPFP internals
    -Grimmspeed ECBC
-Catless DP to full 3.5 Inch exhaust
    -Damond motorsports EGR delete
-Torque solutions RMM and Shifter bushings
    -Corksport 3.5 Bar MAP sensor
    -NGK LTR7IX-11 Gapped to .026
-Transmission has been rebuilt with new clutch and flywheel
-Turbo inlet pipe with K&N intake
-PurpDrank Protune (Still in progress, but PurpDrank has been amazing to work with so far!)

I have a new valve cover gasket and I plan on Installing it and checking timing chain while I'm in there.
I plan on doing a long term review of the Kinugawa turbo, As they are a smaller manufacturer. However they are not a Chinese brand (and I've seen good things about them!). I also included pictures of my MS3s. Black is my first, Red is my most recent.
