Why not if it fits but doesn't click just zip tie it so it stays together

Well I was at about 6-10psi when it lost signal and immediately died. It felt as if it wanted to throw me through the windshield so I cna only imagine at over 20psi during a pull that dumb little zip tie falling off and throwing me into the dash lol Not really my idea of fun so idk haha

No zip tie around the backs thread it between the wires no way it would come loose

High temp RTV is my suggestion, just a little dab so you can cut it with a razor blade if you need to remove it. I have one of my DI injector plugs held on that way. Thanks Graveyard  Its been that way for 15k miles or so with zero issues. I messed around with zip ties but could never get something worked out that made me feel confident there was no chance of failure.

That's a good idea man thanks for telling me! I will probably try this before actually hunting down the oem style plug. Did you put some inside the connector and then just squish it on? Lol ( obviously not too much that it interferes with the prongs etc)

No not on the inside. I pushed the connector on and used it on the outside across the joint just a small spot about the diameter of a pea. All I was trying to accomplish was "gluing" it in place so it doesn't come apart. Also this way you can just cut it with a razor so you can take it apart.

The issue I had was that the reconditioned injector that Graveyard sent me had a missing/broken retaining tab. So my injector harness plug would slide on but it wouldn't engage the tab which locks it in place.

Yeah I will definitely try this. I'm glad that they at least helped you solve the issue, even though that's frustrating fs.

So my throttle body connector is also held on with RTV. Somehow I broke the connector when I went to push it back on the TB. While I had the motor out of the car I figured I would fix it so I soldered a brand new pig tail connector on. When I went to push the new one on it broke the exact same way the original one did so at that point I said fuck it. I would still like to figure out why the hell they broke. You can see my little glob on top of the connector keeping it from coming off.

Graveyard did NOTHING for me about that. I came up with this solution on the fly because it was Sunday morning and the Speed was still my DD and I had to drive it to work Monday morning. Yes I'm still salty and have nothing good to say about them.

Not insisting, but using Zap straps to make a "lock" or keeping a plug seated when the lock is broke is really common in the world of fixing older junk with brittle plastics... youtube some ideas...

One thing you can try is using a pick to take the weather packing out and see if the connector locks.. If it does spray some silicone based lubricant on it.. the weather packing can become swollen, or sometimes sized wrong with replacement connectors.. It causes you to not be able to push the connector all the way in.. a little lube helps.
